beautiful story!
Hi Mommas:
A short time ago I made a post about a very ill little boy who needs a miracle. I received the most wonderful posts and some were very helpful to this boy's parents (you know who you are!). In the midst of networking and doing the little bits that made me feel like I was helping, I stumbled upon a real angel among us and I wanted to share the story with you all.
First of all, I hope that you never have the need for her services, but if you do it will bring a huge smile and great joy to the recipient. My husband saw her on the Early Show on Christmas Eve and I contacted her that very same day (she & husband were working even on the holidays). Born from her own experience with having a sick child, she now makes Comfort Capes created to give sick children "superhero strength" to fight those bad germs. I requested that she make one for the little boy that I posted about. I gave her a donation to do so. She asked me to send her some info about him so that she could personalize it. Well, the cape arrived at his home today and from what I am told, nothing could have wiped the smile of his face. Not only did she send this boy a Comfort Cape, but she also made Wonder Capes for his brother and sister (all of her own doing and with no additional donations from me). The story goes that the three of them were "flying" from one end of the house to the other.
This was such a pure example of an angel among us that I felt compelled to share. You can read more her and her mission at comfortcapes.com.
Here's to goodness in this world!!

That is really really wonderful! Do you by any chance have her information? There is a sick little boy in our parish who I know would benefit from a Comfort Cape.

Wow M. how wonderful for you to do for this little boy. I did not see your first post, but it sounds like this boy has touched your heart and now you have touched his whole families !
I will read more about the comfort capes, what a great concept for children !
It is always great to see compassion and caring from others who "pay it forward"

M., that is such a wonderful story, brought tears to my eyes. You should go to a local news channel with this story. They never talk about stuff like that on the news. People should hear it. I'm so sick of hearing about this Conan Obrien and Jay leno thing. There are bigger problems in the world.
Thanks for sharing this!
M.
A lovely story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Love to see good things posted and not always bad! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing! What a great, sweet and wonderful idea.
M., thank you so much for posting this. It is truely amazing what people think of to help the human soul. I do my best to extend myself to people, and reading what this lady does only strengthens my wanting to do more. Children are truely a gift from God and unfortunitly but fortunitly some become angels for the rest of us....easing there pain here on earth if even for a moment is what we are meant to do...God bless this woman and thank you again for posting this wonderful story!
