Any Other Night Sweaters?

Yes, not wearing a sweater....but sweating in their sleep?

I have always sweat at night while I sleep - honestly - every night. Since I can remember, so, since I was 4 years old?

I have been tested for menopause, I'm 51, and that is not it. I had a hunch it wasn't anyway, since it's so normal for me.

I am truly a warm nature woman. But am I the only one?

Recently I bought a sexy red nighty (100% cotton), and because of my nightly sweating, it has turned my sheets on my side of the bed all red now.

Anyone else a natural heat source here? And, if not, would you be worried if you sweat this much at night?

What can I do next?

Nope, I am right there with ya. I also have the sweats at night but this has come on only in the past 6 months or so. I wake up with my arms outside of my sheets and they are cold to the touch but the middle of my shirt, like the chest area and under the 'girls' is soaked with sweat. same with my head. Hair plastered to my head....crazy! I have no idea why this has happened...I hope I am not going through menopause in my early 30's although I know it isn't unheard of.
No worries though...you are not alone on this one.

I had a different kind of night sweats during and after menopause, but before that I was a night sweater, and it turned out it was due to my low thyroid. As soon as I got on thyroid med., the night sweats ceased.

Have you had your thyroid tested?

I sweat pretty bad some nights, but most nights I am just fine. But when it is bad, it is really bad. My son is like that too. I thought it was from my issues with my thyroid as I had a period where my levels were off. But then the levels cleared and I still sweat. And then when I realized my son did it, it didn't think much of it and attributed it as normal for some people. We love to fall asleep on my husband (I swear that spot between his arm and his chest was made just for me, lol), but he always pushes us off (gently) once we go to sleep. If not, he'd get drenched too!

I'm not worried too much, but now I think I'm going to keep track of it to see if I can narrow down the cause or triggers.

Do you snore? If so, you should get a sleep study done. Night sweating can be a symptom of sleep apnea. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Doesn't sound like fun waking up all wet.

I have suffered with night sweats on a consistent basis for the last 8 years. It's miserable! I sleep with two towels within reach - one that I can dry myself with and one that I can put down and lay on once the sheets get wet! I'm 52 so I've always chalked it up to menopause but who knows. One weird thing is that I notice that I seem to have less night sweats in the summer.

I've heard that cool head/warm feet is the thing to aim for.....cooler room & socks maybe.
My husband is like you. He's like a personal space heater! LOL

I sleep with a big fan on at my feet.

Mine started not to long ago....and because of some health issues...But the fan is the only thing that helps me stay comfortable sleeping.

Maybe try a small one at the head or foot of the bed.

Once I started using the fan, life was ok again:)

That can be a sign of cancer--but no worry for you since it something you have always dealt with. I would ask your doctor about it.

I freeze all day and heat up at night. My dad is the same way. My husband says I'm a natural bed warmer. :)

I don't actually sweat. I take a migraine medication that causes me to not sweat (ever). It can be dangerous when exercising. Anyway, I just heat up really hot, but don't sweat.
