Is there anything you can do about Baby Acne? it's on my little boy's face. He's 24 days old, and now i'm noticing it on his neck, on his body, and even a spot of his ear.

What can I do next?

My doctor suggested a betadine (iodine) wash... it'll turn the skin a little yellowish (looks like that soap they use to do presurgery cleansing on the skin). My son had baby acne on his cheeks... I just put some of that on a cotton ball and rubbed it on there.... left it a little bit and then washed it off with a washcloth...dried it up really good.

Have you tried any of the Arbonne products for babies? I have heard and seen great results. I can get you a sample from a friend if you want to try it.

Hello,

My son also had horrible baby acne. I did internet reasearch and came up with Aveeno baby wash and lotion. I would wash, and lotion him 3 times a day. I noticed a significant improvement within 24 hours and the acne was completly gone within a week. Good luck

Mine had baby acne really bad at about 1 month, and his dr suggested hydrocortosone. We just got an off brand that looked almost like petroleum jelly, but it worked. I put it on his face once or twice a day, and it went away within a couple of days - no changing the skin color and no irritation. Good luck!

I was told by the hosp if my daughter got it to use Dove Bar Soap the kind for sensitive skin (my daughter was born premature at 24 weeks and its really commom for kiddos born so early to have major skin irritations and such.) Well she never had acne but now has a slight touch of Exzema. We have to put a steroid cream on it and I really hate to have to go to that extent with her skin. We tried everything elese before and its the only thing that works. So Id at least try the soap b-4 the more harsh products if your concerned about your babys skin like I am. Good luck and Congrats on your new bunfle of joy!

I was going to say yesterday, when I read this, that it sounded like skin eczema to me and use a little cortaid or other cortisone cream, however, it says on package not to use without Dr's ok and especially on a baby that young. But now, that other's have suggested it, I am almost certain it is. I had severe skin eczema as a baby, outgrew it until 12, still struggle with it today but have discovered hormones has alot to do with it. My oldest sister had it as a baby and never got it again. My four children have all had little breakouts at one time or other. With skin eczema it will appear the worst in sweaty spots. Like the other Mom said, I did not want to use any cortisone on my little ones, either, however, there was nothing else on the market and I used it very sparingly. A little dab goes a long way, but I would try it. It could clear it up overnight and may not be a chronic condition. Best of Luck
