You have to take him to the doctor and they will tell you what it is. My son had the baby acne , but it turned in to eczema. Check the milk and dont wash his face with anything but water.

I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old and they both got baby acne around 3 weeks of age to about two months. It's a common occurrence that should clear up in a few weeks and nothing to be concerned about. I don't think your diet has anything to do with it. My pediatrician said it is normal and will subside on its own.

Hi. My daughter used to get the same thing and still does. She's five now. It happens to her when our dogs lick her or she gets alot of their hair on her. I have a 5 month old and we try to keep the dogs away from her and out of her room. I have 4 kids and 3 dogs so it's a little hard but I understand where you are coming from.

Good luck

Hi J. - are you nursing? If so, it could be that you are eating too much sugar, for example, drinking too much orange juice. More than one glass a day for you is too much sugar for such a small baby (your milk is instantly affected)and the skin, his main organ of elimination, responds. Cut back on all sugars and see if there is a difference.
Hope this helps.

Hi! i know just what you mean and I have a suggestion for both. When my daughter was that age I gave her a bath pretty much every day... just because she liked it so much and when we were done I would rub hydrocortizone cream on her face like a facial and where ever else she happen to have bumpy or irritated skin. Once I started this regiment, her skin cleared up, I know they say that baby acne is normal, but I swear this is the cure! It will also help if it does happen to be an alergy of some kind

Are they patchy? At about 2 to 3 weeks old, my son had red bumps as well but they were mostly on his forehead with a a patch or two on his cheekbones. I first cleaned it with chamomile as my mother-in-law suggested but, unfortunately, that didn't do anything. We had a routine appointment with the pediatrician and after seeing it he suggested a mild eczema cream (Desonide). I applied the tiniest amount twice a day for five days and it went away and never came back.

it maybe roseola (sp?)... spots come and go... turn white again when you press on them. It may progress to the chest area and it may be accomapnied by a fever that comes and goes..
it is also related to fifths disease, if i remember correctly..,.
