If someone told you a birthday party for a child will be "baby friendly" what would that mean to you? (mostly outdoor party)

What can I do next?

My guess would be that young children are welcome... maybe they will have a tent or shaded area, bubbles, thing to do/see/eat for young children!

It's also a nice "hint" to anyone who may be expecting an adult party that they should expect children there too!

I would assume that I could bring my baby, but I wouldn't expect anything to be provide for the baby as far as toys and a safe place to play.

I've never seen that term before. Babies are usually part of the "kid" category.

Anyway, I think it means "Bring your baby!" The might have a baby area, or toys, etc. If you want clarification just ask the host :-)

I would think it is okay to bring your babies/ kids but since it's an outdoor party I would think there might be adult drinks too.

Like some others said, I would assume they meant it was OK to bring a baby. You stated its a child's birthday party to begin with...so maybe they have a baby of their own, so they have baby toys or some sort of set up that works for their baby (a swing with buckle straps, lots of playballs, bubbles, little push toys, etc). I have such a yard (and an area indoors) as I do home daycare and all of my crew are usually age 3 and under. My house is a great place for family parties as we have little ones on up to 10 year olds in the family!

Sounds like a very family friendly gathering!

Meaning, bring your baby.?

Maybe they have little areas for the babes to play. with toys etc just for them?

I would've assumed it meant any/all of the things mentioned already:
- invitation to bring your baby
- probably G-rated drinks and entertainment
- maybe something or some place safe and fun for babies to play/stay/nap in, but I wouldn't expect the host to do that. (To be sure, I'd bring my own stuff.)

In any case, enjoy the party and please please please report back after the party! I'm sure many of us will want to know how to interpret "baby-friendly" correctly :-)
