Anyone elses newborn (mine now 2 months) have leg spasms? One of his legs will randomly shake really fast. Usually when he is sleeping. I forgot to ask his doctor about it. I'm figuring its just a nervous system thing, anyways thats what i got when i googled it.

What can I do next?

Baby tremors ~ per our pediatrician. His nervous system isn't developed quite yet. Notice how his arms and legs just move all over the place for no reason? Same concept. Because they don't quite have control of their muscles yet they spasm. If you move his leg, or pull it straight while he's having a spasm, it should stop. : )

My baby does it too! And I forgot to ask! It happens when she stretches too. Seems to be normal from your answers. I will try not to forget, she goes in this week.

My son did this too. He would also shake when we would apply slight pressure to the bottom of his foot. We nicknamed him Thumper for a while. He grew out of it.

My nephews just twiched randomly for several minutes at a time. He went and had all sorts of tests done, and it turns out it was nothing and that he would grow out of it.

Either my son or my grandson did that and I asked my husband (a doctor) about it. He said the baby was probably peeing and the spasm came when he was finished peeing. He claimed he still has a little spasm then, even as an adult.
