I was reading on another page about bath rings, for babies that can now sit up. Anyone know what that is or looks like?

What can I do next?

The one I have has suction cups on the bottom, and the baby sits in it. The ring goes around the baby so she doesn't slip on the bottom of the tub, and if she teeters either direction, she doesn't fall.

Just do an internet search for baby bath ring. Attached you will find a link to only one type of them.

As other moms have mentioned Safty 1st makes a newer version of what I had with my daughter 6yrs ago!! I got one of the newer ones for my son and I don't like it. The top ring is lower to the bottom seat part and it scraped his legs getting him in and out of it. I did find on of the orginial blue Safty 1st rings at Once Upon a Child (used) for $5 verses what they are selling for on Ebay. I do like the one on the link you were given for the Aquababy!! Wish I had seen that one when I was shopping for mine! And yes, the tub rings can be a drowning hazzard, hence why Safty 1st changed theirs, but anyone with common sense should know not to leave a baby alone in the bath tub. Happy bathing!!!

I do know about this, and I have owned one. They are a little seat with suction cups to stick to the bottom of the bathtub. The saet is flat, and has a ring connected around it at 3 points I think. It has one bar that goes between the legs as not to let the baby slip through. I think they are made my evenflo, or the first years. Sometimes it's a little difficult to wash the baby and have to work around the seat, and you need to be extra careful, because if your baby leans for a toy, the chair can tip, and has happened to me! Good Luck!

The bath ring is the Safety 1st Tubside Bath Seat.
They have changed this ring over the past years for safety reasons. My brother and SIL said the old version was much better, and even to another one (for their twins) on Ebay. It was just a blue circle with leg holes that suctioned to the tub. I just bought the new version because my daughter won't stay reclined in her sling tub, but I just read the reviews and it doesn't look good. I probably should have read them sooner, but she is my 3rd child and I have had MANY tubs and the others were no good so I thot I'd try this one. I may look on Ebay myself for the old version, much cheaper too!

HELLO S.,
I HAVE SEEN THEM THEY ARE THOSE HARD PLASTIC SEATS THAT THE BABIES SIT IN AND THEY SUCTION CUP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TUB!!AND BOTH OF MY CHILDREN HAD ONE AND I HATED THEM!THEY DON'T STAY STUCK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TUB AND THEY ARE BAD TO TURN OVER AND MY LITTLE BOY AND MY LITTLE GIRL WOULD SLIDE DOWN AND I FELT LIKE IT HURT THEIR LITTLE PRIVATES, SO I'D PUT A WASH CLOTH AROUND THE MIDDLE!AND I'D HAVE TO HOLD ONTO THEIR BACK THE ENTIRE TIME TO KEEP THEM FROM FALLING BACKWARDS INTO THE WATER AND DROWNING.BUT OF COURSE THAT WAS AT LEAST 4 YEARS AGO THEY MAY HAVE SOME NEW ONES BY NOW.BUT GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR LITTLE GIRL(LITTLE GIRLS ARE FUN,ME AND MY DAUGHTER HAVE A SPECIAL BOND,SHE'S 4 NOW)!!MY BEST WISHES AND PRAYERS TO YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!BY THE WAY I ALWAYS TYPE IN ALL CAPS, I HAVE A NERVE DISORDER AND IT IS JUST EASIER FOR ME TO TYPE THAT WAY, I'M NOT YELLING!HAVE A GREAT DAY!T.

I used the Safer Bather (you can see it on the Babies R Us website) - it was easy and great...and so much better than the bath seats. Good luck!

Hi S.,

You already have someone telling you the brand names and types of rings so i am not going there. But i do agree with the one person. When my youngest was a baby his tub ring was a godsend! imo it is perfectly safe, your not supposed to leave the baby alone while your using it, but it certainly is helpful in the way of freeing up the bathgivers hands. The one i used had a seatbelt like strap to prevent the baby from slipping. When my son was using it i was able to focus more on him (talking with him, playing splashing laughing) while getting him clean. WITHOUT it, i was focused on nothing more than getting him clean and getting him out because the whole time was spent focusing on keeping a grip on the slippery baby! The suction cups on the bottom were definitely key!

I wouldn't recommend these they are a drowning hazard. They are a ring that your child sits in while in the tub, but your child can flip in them and drown. We never used them. If your child can sit up either take a bath with them or sit next to the tub and watch them within arms reach.

Check out this link. I think this is what you are talking about. I hope this helps.
It is round that sticks to the bottom of the tub so the baby can sit up while you bath them. The only thing I dont like about it is sometimes it can be hard to bath them with the ring in the way.

Not sure about baby rings, however, I have found an inflatable tub...looks like a small float for the beach. It works great and fits nicely into any size tub. I bought ours from Babies R Us...Target may have it too.

Hi. The rings are sold at Walmart and are white with blue padding and can spin around while they are sitting in it. They are great. I already use one for my 5 month old daughter and she loves to kick her feet in it and splash. They are in the baby section and run about 20-30 dollars. Hope that helps. :)

You can get them just about anywhere...they are like a booster seat that sits in the tub. My baby tub also had an attachment that would allow you use it like that. My son wasnt in it very long...and it is kinda a pain to wash a slippery sudsy wiggle worm.

Yep, just look at walmart or Target. They have suction cups to stick to the tub. They are safe.

I have the Safety !st one that slides onto the side of the tub, (no risk of the suction cups not working) and my son LOVES IT!!!!! Of course, you still have to watch them very carefully because slippery babies can get excited and go nuts and end up hurting themselves. But if you're any kind of decent parent, and I know you are, I'm sure you have your hands on your baby at all times. The one I have is perfectly safe as long as you or your hubby are there to keep a close eye. I hate even answering the phone (when I bring the cordless into the bathroom with me) when Aiden is getting his bath. There's no telling when his slippery behind will decide to jump up and walk around. LOL (He's only 6 months but he hates being still.) Anyway, my mother bought the tub for me and I don't know how much it costs but it was worth it and she found it at WalMart. Hope this helps.
