My son is turning 1 on Thursday and he needs a haircut! This will be his first, so we'd like to take him to a place that is for kids. I need a hair cut, too, though, so do any of you know of a salon that does baby's first cut and mommies, too?? We'd like to go this afternoon, so quick responses would be greatly appreciated!

This is probably too late, but I take my son to my stylist now - Stephanie at Gloss Salon. Took him to a few other places that were way pricy and he would throw such a fit that after a few minutes we would all give up and just deal with whatever the cut looked like - I was never happy with the results (at Gloss they charge based on age 0-3 yrs is a price 3-6 is a little more, etc).
Steph did a wonderful job - it was about his 4th haircut and the best one we ever got - she's a mom of a 2 1/2 year old and totally understands the art of distraction! She had him so engrossed in various things that she was actually able to blend his hair and shape it on the back. I will always take him to her!

I agree with the other response, Ponytails & Buzzcuts is a great place to take kids for haircuts. My son is almost 22 months, and this is now the only place I will take him for haircuts. They are very good with kids, and take their time.
Family Fun Cutz is wonderful you have to check it out, really late for a first haircut now though.
a place called pony tails and buzz cuts off 168th ish and center.. they do adults and children.
infact my son and husband are getting thier hair cut at the same time,, today.
they have tv's at every station and you can either bring your own movie/show or you can pick from their selection. i think it's dvd only.. not vhs. not sure.
they also have a play area for kids who are waiting.
and seats to sit in that are a car, a train and a fire truck.
