Hi - we are coming to Vegas next week from the UK and would like to know the best place to source some gear that we would like to buy in the US (rather than carry it on the flight!). We will need to buy nappies (diapers), wipes, baby swing or bouncer, bottles, baby food, toddler snacks and probably something else that I have forgotten. Any good websites or shops to recommend??

What can I do next?

Babies R Us is by far the best place to shop! There are 2 of them in town and they have everything you could imagine for baby things!

Hi F.,
Wal-mart will have everything you need. However, I think you can rent some of this stuff and have it delivered to the hotel. The car seat you can rent for about $5 - $10 with the car rental. At one time, after a trip with the baby, I looked into doing such a business and searched online finding someone already has the market and does it at a fairly reasonable price. I would say at most you would have to purchase diapers and a clorox everywhere spray. There is a CVS drugstore on the strip for supplies. It will not carry baby gear, but if you still need that stuff the walmart is not far from the strip. Go to www.walmart.com and www.cvs.com. There is a Walmart superstore (grocery & department/drug) not far from the airport approximately 10 minutes away. It is at 6005 Eastern, Las Vegas NV.

"Wal-Mart" is the best place to shop. They are cheap and have all your basic needs. Also there is "Target" or "Babies R Us". You will also be able find stuff for yourselves at wal-mart or target. If it is a "Super Wal-Mart" they will have groceries too. Enjoy your trip to vegas!

Are you going to be staying in a hotel on the strip or somewhere else? Depending on where you are staying, I'd recommend either a Target store or a Wal-Mart (lots of both all over the Vegas valley). They would have pretty much anything you would want for a baby at good prices.
There are also two Babies R Us stores that would have everything you would need too. They would be more out of the way than either Target or Wal-Mart, but as long as you have a car they would still be easy to get to. They tend to cost a little more than either Target or Wal-Mart but they only have baby items and would have a bigger selection of each type of thing (they have a whole aisle of swings/bouncers while the others would probably have only one or two choices).
Enjoy your visit!

I would have to say Wal-mart as well. Although Target does sell Boots product now! I lived in the UK for about 6 years, so anything you would find at Tesco or on the High Street, would definately be at Wal-mart. Everything there is low-cost, so you wouldn't be spending all your holiday funds. Locations are everywhere, and you can look them up online at Target.com or Walmart.com. Have a pleasant stay, and don't forget the sunscreen! It's HOT here!

You can get most of what you need at Walmart. If you are staying on The Strip, there is a Toys R Us at Maryland Parkway and Flamingo where you can get bouncers and things like that. There is also a Target in that area, too.
