My daughter, who loves the "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" movie wants to be violet after she turns into a blueberry. Any ideas on the best way to make a blueberry constume for a 5 year old? I have no idea where to start. Thanks in advance!

Here is an adult one to use as a guide

Some one created one using a pumpkin pattern and blue material instead of orange.

I would make a blue sack with leg holes and arm holes and stuff it with whatever to plump it out. I would then gather the top of the "sack" around her neck and tie it (loosely, of course) - think top of a garbage bag after it is tied for the little pieces that are on the top of a blueberry.
It would be like a blueberry with arms, legs, and a head sticking out :-) You could get blue tights or leggings - if you get two pair, one for her legs worn the normal way, and then the other pair, cut out the crotch (head hole) and wa-la you have the same color arms! :-)
Good luck!!
If you want it to be stiff you can try taking a big exercise ball and covering it with paper mace then deflating the ball ones it's dry. You'd have to cut it in half to get her inside as well as cut holes for her arms and feet but would be light and give the most realistic effect. Paint it blue and tape it together wih painters tape as you can paint over that. Good luck
