I found a light brown spot on my bra right where my nipple is. It came from the inside, because its not on the outside of the bra. My breast is not leaking, curious as to what it might be.

What can I do next?

How large are the spots? Do they look substantial? Would you think they came from discharge? If the spots are tiny little dots, they might be just... mold from sweat. if you have any doubt, call your doctor.
Good luck.

Coming from someone who has just been through breast cancer, all I will say is why NOT have it checked? You have nothing to lose by going to see your doctor. A friend of mine was bleeding from her nipple, but was also nursing a baby at the time and didn't have it checked right away and she just had a double mastectomy in September because it was breast cancer. I'm not trying to scare you, just to say that if your breast is not leaking and there is evidence of bleeding or discharge on your bra, then you really need to have it checked right away, as this is not a normal thing. It could be nothing, but if it is something, then the sooner you take care of it, the better off you'll be. Please, call your doctor and just have it checked out. Many blessings to you.

You probably just don't know that it leaked. My youngest is 2 1/2 and never was bfed and on occasion there is a leak. Definitely weird, and definitely stains.

It sounds like your breast did leak, even if it's not leaking when you can see it. Get it checked by your ob/gyn as soon as you can. Unless you're lactating your breasts should not leak, so this could be an indication of a problem and it'll take a doctor, not us here on the posts, to find out what's going on.

Please get it checked right away. The very same thing happened to my Mom and she ended up with breast cancer. Thankfully she didn't have to get Chemo as they caught it in time. N. P.

Are you pregnant or breastfeeding? Does your breast hurts?

I had discharge from one nipple for years before I got pregnant. It happened when I was sleeping on my side and putting pressure on my breast. I woudl wake up with a crusty dry spot whitish-yellowish. My doctor didn't think it was likely anything, but I had am ultrasound and a mammogram to make sure. They can do something where they take a sample of the fluid, but only if you know which duct is producing it. In my case, it only happened at night, so they couldn't tell. Probably nothing, but always good to check. Never found a reason for mine, but interestingly it stopped after two pregancies and breastfeeding.
