This happens daily? Are you sure you don't have bed bugs??????? As far as mosquito bites there are several products out there that are deet free and safe to use. Spray her before you take her outside. Skin so Soft by Avon also works to deter mosquitos. OFF has a product out now that you can wear an attachment without having to apply anything to your skin.

The precautions you are speaking of are indoor precautions. If your baby is getting that many bugbites indoors, I'd be concerned about the possibility of bedbugs or fleas. I'd suggest having the doctor check out these bites to know exactly what they're from. Spraying pesticide indoors? YIKES! I don't know anyone who sprays for mosquitoes or anything like that indoors, I'd run the safety of that by the doctor too. Pesticides are anything but mild.

How are bugs getting into your house? Do you have windows open without screens?
Find the bugs, then you can take action.
I don't think there's anything to take away scars. Can you get netting for over the crib?

You can't remove baby scars, they'll go away on their own eventually but I'd be more concerned with preventing new bites.. and I'm not sure it matters how much you clean her room because most bites happen outside. Unless you have fleas? If so no amount of cleaning will help that, you'd probably have to bomb the house.. Good luck.

I would talk with your pediatrician about the scars. I don't think there's much you can do about it once she gets the bites other than make sure she's not scratching or picking at them.

I do agree with some of the other posts...you need to find out why she's getting bitten everyday. I think that's odd. You could have bed bugs or fleas. Bed bugs can hide in the frame of beds and not just in the bed. I know this from personal experience!!! Do you see dried blood spots on the sheets or any other bedding? That is usually a telling sign.

Good luck.

Hi Y..

I was told about something that will help prevent bug bites and it does work. It is Avon Skin So Soft Bath Gel (the original one). There is something that's in it that the bugs don't like. I use it on my 16 (almost 17) month old son. I just use a cotton ball to apply it to his arms, legs and feet. I'm not really sure on how to remove the scars. I would ask her pediatrician. I hope that this helps!:o)
