My husband says it ain't happening. You will probably have to take it to a dealer.

My son recently found some loose change in my van and then put it in the CD player and tape player. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it? The openings are too small for me to get into.

might try a q-tip..take the cotton off and stick some play doh, or even gum on the end and get one piece at a time! Good luck!!!
You can find the special screw drivers on the internet. Remove the players from the van consol and take them apart. My husband bought a set of the right screw drivers for the Wii in order to remove the stickers my son had "loaded" into it. It works fine now. Be very careful not to shock yourself with the loaded capaciter. You have to let it sit for a few days for the charge to disapate.
The radio/cd units can be removed. You might need to do that & dump the thing upside down til all the change comes out. I think it is salvageable.
Usually it is a matter of snapping off the console panel & unscrewing the unit from the mounting bracket. If you are not comfortable doing this, you might be able to find a neighbor who can or take it to Best Buy or another place that installs radios & bargain with them to remove the unit for you or tell you how.
Good luck!

We had this happen. We didn't know what the problem was with the cd player until we took the truck to the shop for warranty work. We added that to the list. After they took the player out, they found the change.
Same thing happened to us. Just look for the screws to the radio, probably on the bottom, around the glove box, etc. All we did was take the radio loose, shake it and everyting fell to the bottom, works perfectly fine now.
LOL don't worry it can be fixed. I use to work for a service department at a car dealership. one day a week we would get about 12-13 cars with this problem. They have to take out the player from the dash and open it up and take it out. Trust me it is more common than you think. Call your service department and they will take care of it.
