Hello, I'm a mom of two boys, a male puppy and a wife to my husband :) With this said, I'm the only girl in the house and would love to have a girl. I'm very blessed with my boys and they brought the inner boy out of me :) However, it would be nice to have another female in the house. I've heard of the Chinese zodiac and heard it to be very accurate. Do you guys have any experience in that? I guess my question is if I conceive according the dates the Chinese zodiac recommends, is it very accurate that I will have a baby girl?

Um, every day, in every year, the birth rate is about 50-50 male female. So clearly no zodiac, Chinese or otherwise, has anything to do with it.

The Chinese zodiac is not accurate -- I checked it when I was pregnant just for fun. According to it, my daughter was supposed to be a boy.
I can tell you that it's 50% accurate. Just like normal probability.
I was supposed to have 2 boys according to that chart.
I have one of each.
PS: I can also tell you that Shettles is the exact same for your chances. We tried that too. (I wanted boys.)

If that were the case wouldn't all the children born a specific night be the same gender? Don't think that actually works.
As others have said, all children conceived on a specific night of the year would all be the same gender, and China wouldn't have so many abandoned girl babies.
NO! It's not accurate! I think you have to stop wishing that you can be happier with a child of one gender than the other. That's a sure way to make your 2 boys feel inferior.

I went to school with a guy who had 8 brothers. His mom used every single wives tale and zodiac sign, planet alignment, etc after the 3rd baby and every single 'this will be a girl' was a boy. She had to wait for grandchildren before there was a girl in the family.
I don't believe any diet or sexual position can predict gender. In fact, once you have 2 of the same, you are more likely to have a third boy. So just be happy w another baby and maybe pleasantly surprised if it's a girl!

No. It is not. There is no chart that can affect the chances you will conceive a girl.

Didn't I hear something back in the day about some sort of centrifuge procedure that can be done to increase the odds of conceiving a girl? This was when mine was a wee babe and I never intended to procreate further but I could swear I heard a mom acquaintance of mine once credit that with conceiving her daughter, their third. Good thoughts to you and yours. S.
