We have a light colored micro suede couch. My daughter decided to color on it with crayon? What will get it out? We tried hairspray-like for ink, but that didn't work.

Thanks for your advice...
K.

I know of a non-toxic product that will get perminent market out and you shouldn't have any problems getting crayon out with it.

GooGone. This works for pen as well. Spray with GooGone let sit for 10 or so mins scrub by hand. Can you take off the cushion cover? If so you can wash it in washer after googone otherwise you just have to scrub and rinse by hand. My daughter colored on our ottoman cover (I could just throw it in the laundry but the googone is what took the crayon out) I think that after using goo gone it's best to wash with regular soap or rinse out with water, as it has a significant smell. It scared me at first because it looked like it would leave a grease ring, if I recall correctly it doesn't when it is fully dry but a rinse wouldn't hurt.

Hi, Here is a trick that I learned. Get out your blow dryer and a bunch of paper. turn on your blow dryer on low heat and focus it on the crayon mark. It will melt the wax on the surface and you can dab it off with the paper towel. After you have gotten the crayon out, scotch gard you couch and this will resist future stains, spills and crayon marks. Good luck. M.

So, you've got an artist in the family, too! Our son colored with permanent marker on our couch. Nail polish remover worked well.

HI,
try a plain paper bag small enough to fit over crayon area and a low heat iron. Did you try Mr. clean sponge...takes crayon off walls...maybe sofas! Should lift the wax and possibly some of the color. Also, try looking on crayola's web site...just an idea!
Good luck!

Try this stuff called "Goo Gone". You can find it at Walmart. It is amazing for gettting that type of stuff off of things.

My little gem colored it all green. I just used a scrub brush and a little warm water with dish soap. With elbow grease it came out, without discoloring the sofa. You couldn't even tell. Good luck!

Be real careful and maybe use a warmish iron and paper towel? that's what I had to do when one of mine got a crayon on a light blue carpet in our new single wide. Start with the paper towel(double ply)and iron just warm enough to melt the crayon, move the towel until the spot is gone, sometimes it might take more than one sheet.Just make sure the iron is only on the towel.
Good luck.

This happened to my sister. Brand new couch, pink crayon covered the whole back. Her husband used a Magic Eraser and it came right off and you could never tell it had ever been there! Good luck!
