B..
Christian is gender neutral, in my opinion. With a "K," it seems feminine. I'm not sure why, but I would automatically think female.
Ok. Do you think Kristian (Christian) could be a boy's or girl's name?? or either one? By the spelling also what comes to mind when you see this name. Does boy or girl pop in your head?
Just need some feedback on this name!!
Thanks!

When I see Kristian I see it as a girl name. Christian I would think it was a boy.
Cute name for boy or girl!!
If you go with it as a boy name, use a "C" Christian so if he wants to later, he can get called Chris. For a girl, use the K. Definitely no "K" for a boy's name or it gets bumped to Kristi possibly.
I had a friend who spelled her son's name Khristian. She spent the first 2 years of his life correcting people who though he was a girl and called him Kristin when they saw his name in print (doctor's office, etc.). It was so frustrating for her that she had it legally changed to Christian.
It's been my experience that Christian is a boy variant and Kristian the girl variant. It's a beautiful name and I've known several boy Christians and 2 lovable girl Kristians.
The only Christians or Kristians I've ever met are boys, so it will always be a boy name to me.
Spelled like that, I think of it only as a boy's name. If you're looking for a similar girl's name, try Christine or Kristen. My sister also has a friend (a girl) named Kristianne (not sure how to spell it, but pronounced Kristy-ahn).
The very first Christian that I knew (a classmate at school when I was in elementary school) was a girl, but generally it is more of a boy name. And I currently know several boys named Christian.
Kristian looks more feminine, but honestly I would bet that you get a lot of people who would either pronounce it either "Kristin" or "Kristy Anne". So you might want to think of that if you don't want to be correcting people's pronunciation forever.
I agree with Bug. I know only two Christians and they are both men (they go by Chris) and they both spell it with a C.
So my weird BIL asked my hubby what he thought of the name Zoey for a boy (they were prego with a boy). My hubby told him that Zoey is typically a girls name and if he didn't mind his kid getting teased mercilessly for it then it would be fine. BIL got bent out of shape and said he was ridiculous. So he ended up naming his son Zoey despite everyone telling him it's a girls name! Poor Zoey! That kid is going to catch grief for the rest of his life!
It can be either but Christian seems like a boy name and Kristian seems like a girl name. Nice name!
