Dentist in Northern Lake County

I take my kid to the KIDS Dentist in Grayslake off Akinsin and 120. They are great with kids. You do not go back with them. They draw a character on their hand (my son wanted a cobra). When we are really little they count their teeth, let them hold the tools and talk about the light, etc. They have video games and toys in the waiting room. We usually see Dr. Sonia.

I have used our dentist for 9 years, for our entire family. Our kids go to him as well, and they started with their first checkups at 1. He is very conservative, esp. with kids. I highly recommend him. his Name is Dr. Neal Achyara and his number is ###-###-####. His staff is awesome also. He is in Buffalo Grove.

Hi A., there is an Excellent one in Grayslake. It's called Kid's dentist. The doctors are friendly and very professional. They are so gentle with the children. The atmosphere is bright with children's paintings and an array of toys and even video games. It is a place my kids actually like going to - even if they know it's the dentist. Look it up.

Hi, A.. My family and I are relatively new to the area as well, having moved to Grayslake in June of 2007. I just found a dentist team, husband and wife, who seem very nice. My husband has an appointment at the end of February, so I don't have a lot of specifics, but Christy (their receptionist) is very helpful and friendly, so perhaps you'd want to give them a call. I take my kids to Kids Dentist of Grayslake (behind Rockenbach Chevrolet) and they love it. They are so friendly and only deal with kids so there was no hesitation from my kids at all to go. My kids actually get excited to go to the dentist. The waiting room has a Thomas the Train set, a fish tank and 3 Video Game consoles(for when your kids get older), along with books and big legos. When they go see the Dentist they get a marker tatoo (washable) on their hand and they get to pick from a variety of flavored toothpastes and at the end they get to pick a toy from the Treasure Chest.

As far as for adults, I go to one in Lake Zurich. I like them but they are rather expensive.

I am from Lake County, IL. (I miss it. I currently reside overseas.) The best dentists in the area are in Gurnee off of 21 and Washington (near 6 Flags). They are the Coopers (father and son team). They are wonderful! Another dentist, in Round Lake, Kawolczyk (sp?) is great with kids. He was my dentist growing up as a kid. Good luck!

Gurnee Dental on Washington and Almond. His name is Dr. Kaplan. He is WONDERFUL!! (He's also my neighbor!). When I moved up here I had a very difficult time finding a "professional, clean, newer office" that actually took their appointments even close to on time. I waited at one office over 2 hours! I have referred over 30 people to him and in turn they have referred many people to him. Really, his staff is exceptional. For your children: another great place: Children's Dentistry on Grand. Dr. Lee is better than the other Dr., but again, I wouldn't switch for anything. My children love it there. The staff is soooo kid-friendly. Dr. Kaplan also takes children, however, my kids went to Dr. Lee before I found him, so I kept them there. They are pediatric specialists so it seems like a better choice. Good Luck! We use the Associates for Family Denistry on Greenleaf Ave. in Gurnee (east side). We have been pleased with them. They have also seen two of my kids since the kids turned 3. They are patient with the kids and make it interesting (like, I'm going to count your teeth...etc.) They will see the whole family in that office. They have a number of dentists and hygenists. We see Dr. Seikman.
