We used to live in Lindenhurst, we went to Dr. Joe at Lake Forest Dental Pediatrics. I know it's a bit of a haul, but he's an awesome dentist. Totally worth the drive.
My son is 3 and I want to take him to a children's dentist for a regular exam. Does anyone know of a good pediatric dentist in the Grayslake, Gurnee, Round Lake or Lake Villa area? I have insurance so will check out if they're in my network.

Walden Square Dental Care in Grayslake. Very clean, friendly and professional.
we LOVE Christine Lee in Gurnee...she, and everyone in her office is fabulous!
We have been taking our daughter to Kids Dentist in Grayslake on Commerce Drive (off Atkinson, near Rockenbach) for a few years. All of the dentists and their staff are wonderful there. You can find them at www.kidsdds.com.

Dr. James Parkhill in Libertyville, IL is excellent for children and adults. His staff is fabulous as well. I brought my 3 year old there a few months ago to warm him up to the idea of the dentist when I went for my checkup--he loved it and asked when he could come back. We still have to see how he'll do to sit through a cleaning, but his first impressions of the dentist were very positive.
On a side note, I've been going to Dr. Parkhill for my dental needs for years--after receiving recommendations from my coworkers. As a skeptical adult who is not excited about going to the dentist, I have been very pleased with Dr. Parkhill's work. In addition, he and his staff have a great comraderie and really make you feel at ease. Hope you give him a try. Good luck!
I second the vote for Kids Dentist in Grayslake. The staff are wonderful and make kids feel at ease. The office is decorated in bright colors and has games in the waiting room. Plus there's a treasure chest with little prizes for being a good patient.
