can she sleep in a stroller? then you can walk around...just a thought...
We are taking our first trip to Disneyworld in 11 days and I was wondering if anyone has used their baby stations. I just kinda want to get a grasp of what they are like. I have read of the internet that they are places to nurse babies but there are no places for napping. I am still nursing my 27 month old before naps and bedtime. I was thinking maybe she would be able to sleep in one of these baby stations if I nurse her there then just sit and hold her while she sleeps. This sounds so much easier and less time consuming than hauling her back to the hotel and trying to get her to sleep there then heading back to the park. I know she is not guaranteed to sleep anywhere but I thought this would work best for us. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I would also recommend a baby carrier. I have an Ergo that I can still carry my 2 year old around in for hours (he's 30 pounds now). I like it so much better than a stroller for getting around places like the zoo. You have to make sure you have the right carrier though.
Hello was curious does she eat good table foods? My son is 18 mo and he eats a BIG meal at lunch and will go to sleep on his most the time with out nursing.... Just a thought then you will not have to give up time put her in the stroller and she will relax and sleep lol.. My son does at least... My daughter was the same way I stopped nursing her at 2 and when I look back now that I have #2 I was like WHY did I go that long lol... Other then it was a comfort thing for her which was fine. It is the same with my son @ night it is so nice he will say MOM and run to his room and sit in his chair till I get in there and he is holding his blankie lol. He will nurse like 5 min to get relaxed and OUT he goes. lol I am about done nursing him. SO different from my daughter that is for sure. She HATES to sleep and is 5 in Sept.... Hope you guys all have fun. We will be going next yr so it is nice to know there will be a place to go if I need it to change him or something like that.....
We went to Disney when my little girl was almost 2. We rented the Disney strollers which actually gave her a comfortable place to nap. While our family members were going on the roller coasters, I would sit with her in her stroller in the shade and let her nap in the stroller. Just an option.
Hi there.
We are at Disney now and I am unsure about the baby stations however,I would suggest bringing somethng comfy for your baby to sleep on in the stroller. You would be amazed of all the sleeping kiddos. Sticking to a schedule may be difficult. I do not know how comfortable you are nursing in public covered up. I saw that a lot too. I obviously do not know your child but chances are your little one will fall asleep while you are walking around. Over stimulation does wonders for exhausting the little ones, it seems.
Good luck, it is great here!

The baby stations at Disney World are great! The nursing room has rocking chairs (not as comfy as mine at home, but still...), the lights are dimmed pretty low, and I think there is soft music playing, so it will probably be easy for your daughter to nap in there. (If you can hold her that long--my 31 month old is HEAVY!) If she can't nap in the stroller, a shorter nap in the nursing room is better than nothing! There are usually moms and babies going in and out, but in my experience everyone was really quiet and respectful. Changing tables and high chairs are in a completely separate room and usually more rowdy.
I would suggest returning to your hotel only as a last resort. By the time you get there, you'll be so worn out that you'll just want to stay there! :)
I was at Disney in January, and I stopped at the baby station in Epcot. There was nobody in there, except for a Disney employee. It was very quiet, so I think that you wouldn't have a problem sitting with your little one while she sleeps! There is a big changing room, and a playroom for the kids. I don't remember too much else, simply because my daughter (2yrs) was running around and I just needed to get her out of there! :-) Have a great time on your trip!!!
Hi L. - I've been to Disney twice with kids that age. First of all, the baby stations are wonderful. They are great for taking a quiet break, nursing, changing diapers, etc. I believe I recall them having rocking chairs. How long does your daughter nap? I would think that would be a long time to stay in one of those. As the other posters suggested, strollers are great for napping. When my oldest was 2, he took naps in the park in the stroller. The first day we went back to the room and it took a while to settle him down, so it was time consuming. This age poops out at the parks, so when your done nursing, I'd try to move her to a stroller and just find a shady area to hang out - maybe get a snack for you and your hubby or take turns riding a ride that she wouldn't go on. We had a simple umbrellas stroller and just tilted it back so he was "laying" down. But the Disney rental strollers are nice and big and you could make it comfy for a nap. Just a thought. Have fun!
It's been a about 4 years since we went there, but we did use one or two of the baby stations to change a booty and feed our now 5 year old.
It was very nice, clean. They had "supplies" (wipes, etc., and of course, for a small fee). It was very nice to relax in there - especially since when we went there, it was 100 degrees in July!
FYI - and good luck!
L.,
We were at Disneyworld back in Dec 2006 and I used the baby stations to nurse my baby. The main station I remember had a small room for nursing babies with 3 or 4 rocking chairs. It was very nice and clean. They also had changing tables in a different room. You could let her sleep there, unless there were a lot of Moms wanting to nurse babies...you might not be able to occupy a rocking chair for too long. Would your little girl sleep in a stroller walking around? That is what my daughter did at the time.
Good luck and have a great time!
Someone else mentioned the ergo, it is great, we used it a lot last summer while hiking, and on our last trip to AZ in the airport and when out and about. She can hang out on your back, or you can flip it around and she can nurse on the front. It has been a lifesaver for us!
