BCBG Maxazria, Or Seven for all man kind, if you want to pay a little
otherwise, Hint jeans....found a pair at TJMaxx and I live in them.
What brand is your favorite and why. I'm tired of my jeans that either don't fit or look awful. I want to buy some new ones but the thought of trying on a ton of jeans and getting nowhere is discouraging. Please tell me what your favorite brand or style is. I'm sure others will love to read the replies also, so rather than tell you what my figure type is, everyone answer and just let us know what your figure type is. Then we can all benifit from each other's advice. Thanks ladies.

My favorite pair of Jeans......ever....is Ruff Hewn from Carson Piere Scotts. If I'm wearing jeans, it's this one pair. They fit perfectly after having two kids. They are low rise, but not too low and fit a little higher in the butt so they don't show the "crack". They fit me perfectly so I'm glad that they are not stretch because those always slink down by the end of the day. Mine are size 12. I have a bit of butt and a little bit thicker thights - no matter how much weight I lose, I have muscular legs. So, I can never get thin legged jeans. They are not too highly priced. I think I got them on sale and spent around $40.
My fave brands are Joe's Jeans and Paige Premium Denim. They are soooo much money, but worth one or two pair in your wardrobe. One of these super fit pair is equal to 5 nice but not really flattering pairs I think. Plus I wear mine almost daily and look great dressed up or down, pumps or flipflops, tshirt or blouse. They can be found reduced at the end of winter sales, nordstrom rack, filene's basement, and ebay, that is if you know the style your looking for. Alot of my friends will try them on at the store and buy them on ebay for low prices. Most of the styles are pretty forgiving and made with stretchy denim & cotton, so they are flattering but not too tight. I also like jeans at old navy and h&m. I am bigger in the hips, with that good ol muffin top I'm trying desperately to get rid of :) I hate jeans that pinch into my hips causing fat to spill over the top...gross. Joes and Paige have some give at the top and feel like they were made for you no matter what your body top. If it weren't for my hips being wider than my actual waist I would fit in more types of jeans so finding them is hard for me, as with most women I guess!
My favorites are Tommy Hilfiger Boyfriend jeans. Next runner up is Target's brand. I am hippy, and I like the way both of these fit me.
I'm in like a 14 and I get my jeans from Lane Bryant and I love the new system they have for fitting jeans. The have 3 color blocks to chose from for you body type.
Hi M.,
I happen to love Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Stetch Jeans. They fit me really well. I am a little on the petite side so I buy a regular Petit 8. They come in a variety of colors and if I can find them at Kohl's I buy several pairs. They are super comfortable. I hope this helps!
I fell in love with Lucky Brand after having my second child. They fit great, make your butt look cute, etc. I still have some weight I would like to lose in the mid section, but these jeans fit nice and feel great. You can find them at macy's and the Lucky Brand Store in Woodfield mall. On the pricier side, but modern fits and cuts. I don't feel like a "mom" in them. Theyb are supposed to fit snugger through the top, so you can even buy a size smaller than normal.
Hi there-
Love this post! I too found the Gloria Vanderbuilt (sp?) Amanda style jeans to be awesome! I found them on a midnight shopping trip at Meijer. I also love the Levi Signature Boot cut, low rise jeans, these were found on another midnight shopping trip but at Wal-Mart. Both fit snug but are shall we say, forgiving, especially for those of us whose hips aren't much different than our waists. And they are super comfortable because they have a slimming panel in front and they have a very small amount of stretch to them so you don't feel like you have to suck everything in just to get them on. :)
Hope this helps.

I have always had a problem finding jeans due to my body type following having three children.
My most comfortable jean that I have found is from Talbots. The waist falls just around my belly button and not high up on my non-existant waist. They are 98% cotton and 2% spandex -don't pinch me when I sit down, fit nicely on the bottom area - so I don't look like I'm wearing hugh balloon pants - and are so incredibly comfortable.
As I'm on a budget - so,I get multiple pairs of pants (beige, brown, black, etc.) when they are on sale.
Good luck!
I agree with alot of the recommendations on Joe's Jeans. I stopped buying jeans at Gap and Old Navy and upgraded to quality jeans. It is such a difference in fit! I have Sevens for All Mankind, Citizens for Humanity but by far, Joe's is my favorite.
Joes Jeans and Paige Premium are the best!! A lot of money but sooooo worth it. Also Banana republic has some god fits - especially right now . You can find Jooes and Paige at Nordstrom or if you are near Anthropolgie in Geneva Commons they carry great designer stuff.
I've recently discovered that Express has more a variety for different body shapes. I am a size 8/10, VERY hippy and "pear shaped". I went there doubting anything would work for me, but had great luck! I can't remember the exact name of the jean, but they had them labeled for different shapes. I like the boot leg, more flattering if you have bigger hips and thighs.
Good luck, jean shopping is my least favorite thing to do (well besides swimsuit shopping)
My sister turned me onto Bass jeans. There is a Bass store in Kenosha at the outlet mall, they are not very expensive either...I can't justify spending more than 30. I am not a fan of stretch jeans...seems they are like 3 sizes too big by the end of the day.
Good Luck, I enjoyed seeing everyones' post
I bought myself a pair of "7 for all Mankind" jeans after I lost all my baby weight from my daughter. I got them at Oakbrook Macy's. They ROCK. They were expensive but after having jeans that don't fit for my whole life they are so amazing. It's kind of ironic, but I bought them in January and like the WEEK I got them back from the tailor, I got pregnant again! LOL. But, I'm still in them, I'm going to try to wear them for as long as I can. :)
M.,
I read that someone recommended Lucky Jeans. They usually have them at Costco for half of the price vs. Macy's. I think they are around $40. I have a few pairs and love them. The dark color works well at making you look thinner than you are. Good Luck!
I love the jeans at Ann Taylor loft. The have a lot of different fits. I'm the peariest of pears and the curvy fit is awesome for me!
I love my seven jeans and my Rock and Republic. Both incredibly expensive but I shop consignment stores. they are usually already hemmed there too, i'm only 5'2". I love designer jeans, just not the prices. Nordstrom Rack is great too for jeans. Gap has some great styles and with different lengths too. A good pair of jeans is worth a lot
M.,
Hands down, it has to be Joe's Jeans. For years I refused to spend a lot of money on jeans, but I got so sick and tired of buying $30-$50 pairs that just did not fit right. I tried on jeans from everywhere - Old Navy, Kohl's, THe gap - nothing really worked for my body type (very short and slender, but with wide hips). The Joe's are worth every penny. The only motivator to loose the last 10 pounds of my pregnancy weight is to fit into my Joe's again!! Good luck with the search!

I'm 5'4" and about a 10/12 with some extra belly from my last baby still hanging around - literally. Lol.
I love Levi's. Anything that is stretch and low (not SUPER low) rise. They go right under the gut (my "muffin top") and are comfortable. Some are stretch and are comfy. I just stay away from the 550's because they are "at the waist" and with the extra tummy, they aren't flattering.
What a good post to read!

my absolute favorite cut of pants (any style) but they also carry blue jeans is apt.9 from kohls. they are lower cut, but not too low. My waist and hips are close to same size, so they are awesome for me. If you have a big discrepancy between waist and hip size, they don't work. good luck.

I just tried on the Gap Curvey fit, they are very comfortable and actually fit pretty good.
