All I ask is that you don't buy the "mom" pants. The tapered leg and HIGH rise. Those do not flatter anyone.
I need some new jeans and since I have the body of a woman who had a baby, these skinny, low riding, tiny zipper things just DON'T cut it (LOL). It seems like these styles are everywhere and good old normal waisted, normal zippered jeans. Does anyone know where to find them? Thanks!
Thank goodness! Keep the sources coming, Moms! Thanks!

Have you tied misses intead of juniors?
I like Pennys as well. I find some at Khols too. But I had to switch to the missy section vs jrs.
Good luck.
LOL... there's no such thing as "normal" in jeans,
- loose
- bootcut
- straight leg
- skinny
- 5 pocket
- low rise
- mid rise
- high rise
Are the bare bones basic "descriptors"... but then specialty jeans have all kinds of tells. Like certain jeans go by the measurement of the bottom cuff (I've had 60" ones, almost like wearing a skirt). Other descriptors are things like button fly, 501, zipper ankle, thigh/crotch panel, rouching, carpenter, stacked, etc..
Even Target/Walmart have some decent jeans that are not just "fad" jeans.
try Joe's Jeans.. "honey cut"
you ll pay more, but they are well made and will last a long time..
or on the cheaper end.. gotta say, old navy's diva or dreamer actually are pretty good... and they run in ALL sizes for short , average or tall..
as inexpensive jeans go. i think you do get more for your money..
I'm short-waisted and have a tough time when it comes to finding jeans.. these two brands (esp joe's jeans) have made it easier. again, for joe's you will have to pay up.. but it sure feels good to a have a couple pairs of jeans that not only fit well but look good..
JCPenny misses department. St John's Bay is the brand.
I get my jeans from Dot's. There is one in Mckinney, I think one in Rockwall.... not sure if in between. There reg price is $16 and sale price is 10-12!! They fit me very well, not too high or too low! I love how cheap they are too!
Oh by the way, they carry sizes 0-24
Levis has revamped their lines to have more of the normal waistline jean. You might check their outlet store at Grapevine Mills or Allen.
I second the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. Other than Kohl's, I have also found them at Sears.
Kut brand from nordstrom. And u can get them altered there too
You should try some Gap Long & Lean. They fit me much nicer than premium denims do..they have a higher waist and they are flattering in the bum. They have a nice flare to them at the hem that are nicely on-trend without looking faddish or too young.
My favorite jeans are "not your daughters jeans" and I buy them at Nordstroms. They have them in all different lengths and fit, but it's nice b/c they actually come up to the waist and are still flattering. Cost averages anywhere from $85-$140 a pair...but worth it!
Kohls or Macy's (Style & Co.)
Gloria Vanderbilt at Kohls. They aren't the old 'skinny designer' jeans I used to buy of her brand, but made for moms.
I hate spending a bunch of money on jeans and I just found a cute pair of jeans at Walmart for less than $20.00...cheap and cute. Good luck.
JC Penny's and Sears. I know what you mean. It's no wonder everywhere we look we are looking at someones crack. LOL!
Good Luck!
I was so sad when Petite Sophisicate went belly up, but I also have pants from Ann Taylor Loft.
I like "Not Your Daughter's Jeans" brand - they can be found at Nordstrom's.
I love Levi's and Lee that have the "secret slimming panel" in them. They fit great, tuck in my leftover baby pooch, and don't cost a fortune. I always buy them at Kohl's in the misses section.
My two favorites are Eddie Bauer and Ann Taylor.
I LOVE my Levis. They fit just right and cost about $35 a pair.
True Religion; Becky Style
My wife likes a brand called Not Your Mom Jeans or something like that, but I don't know where she gets them.
