Allergic to Dairy

My one year old is allergic to dairy. This was easy when he was on formula and baby food because I didn't really worry about. Now I am feeding him Rice Milk but I am having a hard time with snacks and table food. Most of what I make for my family has milk or cheese or some other dairy product in it. He will not eat any fruit. So that is out as far as snacks go. Also, the doctor said to go with the rice milk but why not soy? Does soy milk contain dairy or what is the issue with that? Was wondering if anyone has any experience with these? We have been attempting to potty-train my 2 1/2 year old daughter with the Gerber padded underwear training panties, while trying to keep the soiled pants to a minimum, and the pull-ups seem to just serve as diaper for her. I've heard some mixed reviews, and was wondering if anyone has any feedback, suggestions or advice regarding these. She's about 30 lbs., and will be three in May. Thanks!

14-Month-old Is Constipated

My 14-month-old son is constipated a few times a week. I have been in contact a few times with the pediatrician's office and am doing everything I can. This started when he was switched over from formula to whole milk. Also, he does not drink much water. I am always forcing it on him, but he won't drink much. I give him prunes or blueberries to eat, make his baby cereal with prune juice, give him whole grain foods, etc. I also water down his milk and occasionally put Karo syrup in his milk. Son with Diarrhea

My son is 7 months old and is having his first bout with diarrhea. He's still eating and still having a wet diaper, though not as often as he usually does. But he is pooping out pretty much everything that he's eating. I am wondering if anyone has used imodium on a child his age before. Toddler Won't "Poop"

Hi again everyone. well, the diaper rash went away, but now my almost 3 year old is having trouble having a bowel movement. I don't know if it is mental or if he is having a bowel or constipation issue? We had him on the toilet today for literally an hour and a half and he just wouldn't go. I have a daughter with mild eczema. Sometimes after she has been swimming in a chlorine pool she breaks out in a horrible rash that itches. It is mainly on her trunk and legs.
