I would update my posts more often if I knew people went back and read it. I wish there was a way that Mamapedia could notify us when someone updates.
I have seen a few woman say that they cant stand it when people dont update their "So What Happened?"
I dont update a lot, and I dont usually go back to see if someone updated theirs. But I guess if you are looking through the website for answers, having an updated answer would be helpful
So, do you go back and read the updates, and do you update your own posts? Is this important to you?
Like I said, I could take it or leave it, but would it help to update?
Ha, Im updating!!
Example-
I wrote a post earlier about a health issue, I thought it was kind of important to update about what happened just in case someone is going through the same thing. But, no one probably reads it. lol

.
I think that mamapedia needs to make it so that when someone updates the "so what happened" section that there is an email/notification sent to all who commented/answered the question! :) I agree that its nice to see what happened but sometimes I totally forget to go back and see ... it would be nice if there was an email sent telling me that there was an update to that question! :)
I do go back and look for an update on some messages because I care about whether or not the mom received any help or if she was able to resolve some issue. I also learn from some of the updates.
I try to update my questions tho I'm not sure I always do.
It doesn't bother me when people don't update but I do remain curious for some time.
Depends on the question. If it's like, "I need dinner ideas for tonight!" then I don't think an update is that big of a deal. I get more curious on updates from questions dealing with things like crazy relatives and major family drama.
Yes, if appropriate, I update.
And yes, in some cases it does bother me if the poster doesn't update. If moms take the time to answer, it is just good manners.
I update and prefer when ppl update too... yes it's a pet peeve of mine when people don't take a second or two to update what happened.
I almost always update. It doesn't bother me when people don't unless it's a hot topic or the outcome is really important. I like to update because I either want to thank the ladies who helped me out, clear up misunderstanding in my questions, or just basically say um, did you actually read my question before you typed your pretty much useless answer??? :)
I like to read the updates, sometimes just to see if they received any helpful suggestions and what worked for them. Sometimes it is hard not to feel like you know some of the people on here when you see frequent visitors, so you care about what happens...if it is ia general what are you having for dinner question or what type of soap do you use, then no I dont care.
I try to update most when I have answers or the issue is resolved.
Yes, I do update most of the time and I do go back to see if others have updated. I reply to the posts that interest me and that I can be of help to, so I do like to see updates on what happened
I have to put the "blame" on the site, It has gotten so huge and there isn't a lot of user friendly features to it. An UPDATE option would be wonderful. I'm just hoping to be able to clear out a few thousand FLOWERS some day!
I personally can't stand poorly written posts/questions. I understand people have different levels of edication but COME ON NOW. Has anybody ever heard of a PARAGRAPH and SENTENCES?
I can't even read the "question" before I bail out due to the lack of structure. I also hate bad--not misspellings but text abbreviations. If you have a question you want answered put five minutes into typing complete WORDS!
Perhaps a little PROOF READING would help too?!
I "try" to update (if it was an important question I asked).. I "sometimes" go back and look at others updates...
It depends.... I like to read an update but not when the update names and attacks ( flames) some moms for their opinions. If you don't like an opinion, just move on, there is no need to personally attack. Yes, I've been one of those personally attacked for giving my two cents worth. All opinions here are different, therefore it is likely someone will disagree or have a differing opinion... That's the beauty of the site!
I also like to view SWH to see if whomever posted got what they were looking for.
As gor my posts... I do try to update with SWH so others know I appreciate the efforts they put forth in answering my post.
Yes! Especially baby names, I want to know what they picked..more importantly, did they take one of my suggestions? ;)
