My little sunshine is now eating the corners of her board books...is this normal?

My daughter did it too, lol. We had to really hide the library books, but she always found the other ones. :)

Gross, but totally normal. Both of my kids did it too.

Yes this is nomal. My almost 2 year old did the same thing when she was that age, and mow my 8 month old will chew on them if she gets ahold of them. Just stick to the cloth or plastic books till she grows out of it. Tell her no, and take them away for a little while. Once she gets to the point where she likes reading them, she;ll stop chewing on them. I do catch my 2 year old with one in her mouth occasionally though. And she gets that book taen away for awhile. Hope this helps. Good luck.

She's probably teething. If it's bothering you make sure there are plenty of teething toys around. When she starts on the book replace it with a toy. If you don't mind the chewed up books I wouldn't worry about it. I'd take away the books if she starts getting chunks off, she might choke.

Is she teething? If so, that may be why.

Totally normal. My son does it all the time! He would chew on the kitchen counter if he could fit it in his mouth...LOL~!!!

How funny - all of our board books (and some regular ones) have little bite marks in them. My son mouthed his board books until well after 18 months but it became less frequent. He just needed to explore the world with his mouth for a while.

That is why we ONLY let him read board books during that time. We're still using them as he now has trouble turning pages gently.

Oh yes, just about every book we own have little bit marks on them!
I think this must be very normal. I just hand her something else to chew on and use cloth and vinyl books when she's playing with them on her own.
