Endometriosis After Hysterectomy

I have never had endometriosis but I work in a Chiropractic office and we have had a lot of success with easing womens pain with out meds. I dont believe anyone should have to 'take'something to feel better. The Doctors in my office are very warm, loving, and take excellent care of their patients, and whats more, if they dont think they can help you, they will tell you so as to not waste your time. Hi S.....well I can sympathize that is for sure. I had endometriosis also. Being pregnant as many times as I was tho kind of kept it in remission. I had problems with polycystic ovaries. Every time I had an ultrasound they asked me if I was taking fertility drugs LOL Which might explain why I had so many kids. But anyways....my cysts turned to tumors and I had to have a complete hysterectomy when I was 36 years old. It wasn't cancer thank goodness. My oncologist put me on estrogen right out the door after surgery. After reading up on HRT I opted to stop taking the estrogen. There is no history of cancer in my family but I didn't want to run the risk. I currently go to a female doctor that is wonderful. She told me to just take the over the counter medications for menopause. I have had some success with it. I still get the occasional hot flash and night sweats. They seem to be subsiding tho. My hot flashes aren't nearly as painful *yes mine were so bad i would classify them as painful* as they used to be. If you are worried about taking hormone replacement I think that is your best bet. I have just been diagnoised with endometriosis. The nausea, diaherra, pain, spotting started after the birth of my 3rd child. I had my tubes tied so being infertile is not a problem with me (she was a surprise). I know surgery is the only way to really "Cure" it but with 3 children under 5, there is really no down time and I don't really have any outside help. How did you explain to your children that mommy doesn't feel good and can't do the things they want you to do?

i also had a total hystorectomy 8 years ago(I was only 27). After many years of hormones and mood swings, i developed 2 lumps in my breast. They were removed and were benign but still scared the poop out of me. Now i'm completely off any hormone therepy or even natural remedies and i feel great. It took about 2-3 months for my body to adjust but finally i'm on a good course. Good luck

I had adneomyosis (spelling?) and had a Total abdominal hysto 6 years ago, went completely off the patch, hormones, etc. And feel great! It does take a year or more to get over your surgery. I actually went to a web site called hystersisters.com and I couldn't have made it through the 1st year without them. I still am real careful about caffeine, sugar and such as I found they affected my body too much. Good Luck!

Have you looked into any natural balancing creams? HRT's and other hormonal "fixes" are synthetic hormones. Arbonne has a two different natural balancing creams that mimic what our bodies naturally produce. Safe, pure and beneficial.

Hi I can relate some what to what you are going thru. I had endometriosis also. Back in 2002 I had a Hysterectomy but I didn't have my ovaries removed as they didn't have anything on them. I do not know whom you have seen but I used Dr. Simmons at Shelby Ob/Gyn. So far I haven't shown any signs of it coming back but because I had it my daughter who is 15 has a higher risk of getting it. The bad thing is she has already start showing some of the signs I went thru. I am told that birth control helps with the symtoms but I don't know for sure. I hope everything works out for you.
