I was hungry all the time and exhausted prior to my missed period. I called my MD, told him I was late (even though I wasn't) and went straight for the blood test instead of spending my $$ on a home pregnancy test.
Did anyone feel extremely nauseous and tired before missing their period? My husband are trying for Baby #2 and I haven't missed my period yet but I have the feeling I may be pregnant. My breasts have been sore and heavy for the last week but that is usually a PMS symptom but the nauseous feeling hit me today like a ton of bricks. Anyone else experience this, should I get a one of the early response tests?
Today I got my period. It was disappointing but I guess if you are looking for the signs of pregnancy you will find them. Hubby and I will keep trying though. Thank you all for your support and God bless!

i felt the same,i took an early pregnancy test and it came up negative-i got my period that month but very light and i was still sooo sick.I went to the doctor and found out i was pregnant when i took the test it was just to early to detect.usually us moms can tell we just have that feeling-good luck...
When I was pregnant with my first I was very nauseous and thought I had the flu. Jokingly my husband said "maybe you're pregnant." I realized it was time for my period and used EPT. It came back positive.
I know those test aren't always accurate early on. To be sure have a blood test done, or wait until a few days before your next period should start.
Hi S., If you want to be pregnant, I hope you are!!! My best wishes, Grandma Mary
It's definately possible. If it were me, I'd get the test, but I've always been quick to test anyway! Good luck!
You could get one of the early tests. But their only accurate about 5% (and the is EPT) of the time depending on how early it is. They still read the hormone levels in your pee and if it's not high enough you'll get a false negative. That is what happened with my daughter. I tested got a neg...then 5 days later got a pos. If your feeling nauseas and your boobs hurt you might get a pos, but you could wait a few more days and test then.
ABSOLUTELY!!! GOOD LUCK!!! A.
I was like that with both of my pregnancies & then when we tried for #2 my husband knew exactly when I was before I realized it because I was heading off to bed really early. Luckily though I didn't carry the morning sickness through the pregnancy with my younger daughter. Good luck!
S.,
Sounds like to me there is a good chance you are. Do you usually get sore breasts while on your period? If not then that is defenitly a sign because I experienced sore breasts when I was pregnant and it was very unsusal for me. The heavy nausiousness is a good sign too, especially if its staying around. I know exactly the date I concieved, December 2nd 2005, and I took the first response pregnancy test on Dec 20th 2005 and got a positive answer. They work, so I would say go for it and give it a try. Good luck and let us know what happened!!
Hi S.
I had an old fashioned MD when I was pregnant with my first and he diagnosed me pregnant before I missed my first period because of just those symptoms and I went to him because I was contipated as well. With the 2, I knew I was pregnant before. With the twins, nope. I thought I was menapausal, had cancer or whatever, it never occured to me I was pregnant after all the boys were 18, & 13 then. In fact, even the OB said not so. OOOooops there were 2, that doesn't sound empty to me.
Go to OB as soon as you can get in, and see what they say.
God bless you S.
Let us know OK

Better check it out! I got sick 8 days after I got pregnant, and it never really let up. Good luck!
Hi S.,
You may very well be. I happen to know exactly what night my son was conceived, and I started having nausea and sore breasts less than two weeks later. This being said, you probably won't be able to see if you're pregnant before the time of your period, since most tests are not sensitive enough to detect the hormones before a couple weeks into it, i.e. the time of your normal period. So I would recommend that you act as if you were pregnant for the next few days or weeks, take a home pregnancy test once your normal period time has come and nothing has happened, then confirm with your OB/GYN.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
K.
you could definitely be preggers!
Hi S.,
You could be pregnant, or not. One day of nausea before missing a period would make me more suspicious of a stomach virus than pregnancy, but it is possible to have symptoms a few days before your period is due. I'm not a big fan of those early response tests. They aren't very accurate. A positive is a positive, but testing negative doesn't mean that you're not pregnant - you might not be, or you might be but won't show positive yet and have wasted your money. These tests are an unnecessary expense. Is there a reason that you would absolutely need to know now rather than in a week? If you are trying to get pregnant, then you're likely taking care of yourself as if you were pregnant - so make sure you're doing this (as in, avoiding alcohol, cigarattes, etc). Good luck!
S., go for it if you want to see if you're pregnant, but if you're not, will you be disappointed and be hurt and will it upset you? If you think you'd be okay, then give it a shot. Go by your feelings. Let us know either way please.
That is exactly what happened to me!
Hi S.,
I was very very nauseous...thought I had the flu after taking a preg test and it came back negative...then lots of smells started to bother me and I thought to myself how can this be the flu..LOL...so I waited another week, took another test and sure enough I got a positive preg test....I would wait at least until you miss your period and then take a test...or you could do the blood test...that will come back right away if you are preg or not!! Best of luck!!
Meg
Hi. With both my pregnancies I felt sick long before I missed my period, it was pretty much instant for me. So I'd say that could be a sign you're pregnant. Good luck!
About a week before I got my period, I told my husband that I had all the symptoms of being pregnant except sore breasts. Within 24 hours they were sore and I knew for sure that I was pregnant. I took a test and saw a very faint pink line. Sure enough I was pregnant.
Best Wishes,
T.
