We have a scooba and love it. My husband bought it for me about 2 years ago and we use it quite a bit. Our entire house is hardwood floors and it does a great job of washing the floors so I don't have to mop. It also will not fall down the stairs and will not climb onto a rug or other things. It will occassionaly get caught on something and you have to get it unstuck but that is very rare. It also has a rubber side so when it does bumb into something it will not damage it and it will change direction. When it bumbs something, it does it very softly and not enough to ever cause damage to anything.
The only bad things is that after a while of owning and using one, the battery starts to run down. Before we only had to charge it a couple of hours and it would go clean a whole room. Now we have to charge it longer and keep it charged at all times because it losses it's charge very quickly. So we can't just do a cleaning cycle without planning ahead or just always keeping it plugged in. That's not as big of a deal because I know we can buy another battery but they are pricey.
I love that we can fill up the scooba with cleaning solution and water and set it in a room or area and let it go. Many times we start it when we are leaving to go somewhere so when we get home, it's all done.
If you have any questions about the scooba, feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to share my experiences with it. I am looking at getting a roomba soon as well so I can have it going inbetween the scooba cycles.
