Hi everyone. My older son left a pen in his pocket of his jeans and when I took them all out of the washer it left a black ink spot about the size of a quarter on my younger sons jeans.
Any ideas on what to do to get it out?
Thanks.

Grease Lightning always works for me
Try using hairspray or wood alcohol. Put a thick towel you don't care about under the stain, wet it with the alcohol or hairspray. Blot until the stain disappears. Apply stain prewash and launder on hottest setting.
I have also had luck using Spot Shot carpet cleaner on ink stains.

Carbona gets stains out like nothing else. http://store.carbona.com/ - they have different formulas or you can use the main Stain Wizard (I keep that one on hand). You can find it at crafting/fabric stores like JoAnn.
Hi S....have had ink to get out of a shirt and the only thing that worked was Murphey's Oil. I pour some on the ink spot (no rubbing) and set it aside overnight. It should be gone by morning. If you have already tried other methods and/or the jeans have been washed and dried you may need to repeat the process. Do not put in dryer until the spot is gone.
Hope it works for you too...W. Q
Rubbing alcohol will usually get rid of ink anywhere. I never have any on hand, but I have found that those antibacterial hand sanitizers work just as well, because they are mostly alcohol.
Hi S.,
I use a Melaleuca product called Sol-U-Mel to get ink out of clothes and off of skin. I am a customer of Melaleuca. I'd be happy to get you information on the company and how you can shop from there as well.
