Try Lane Bryant their bras are the best!!! Once I found them I have not bought another bra from anywhere since. They have sales often that helps with the price I usually only buy when on sale.
Ladies -
Young man is now 6 months, we've weaned, and its time to retire the last of the maternity clothes. Hubs was encouraging and said, buy clothes that fit you now, buy again if you need to next season. Don't buy aspirational sizes.
Any suggestions on where to get good, inexpensive, and pretty bras? I'm a 34DD. I had a lot of luck at target with their Gillian O'Malley line (which were very agreeably priced at under $20) Now I can't find the DD size at all. I'd like something which isn't padded (their big enough thank you), and doesn't have that industrial/ matronly look.
Thanks for all your advice.

Have you tried Avon? They sell the top brands. Here is a link to my mom's page. You can have it delivered UPS for $3.00 an order.

That's the same size I wear, and I spend the big bucks and go to Nordstrom. They are expensive, but they last FOREVER, and they're pretty. Have fun shopping! :)
Fredericks of Hollywood has some nice, unpadded bras in a variety of sizes. They can be reasonably priced if you find a good sale (which they tend to have pretty often). Walmart also has a pretty good selection of bras at a reasonable price.
I can't shop at any of these places since I got properly measured and fitted and very few stores carry G-H cup bras in stock (if they make them at all) LOL
Kohl's all the way! They are a recent discovery for me and I am totally hooked, we go there for almost all of our clothing now.
Check victoria's secret.. I'm the same size and I can't get bras anywhere but there.. they have online sales a lot so the normally pricey bras are cheaper. If you're looking for a great bra try the new incredible racer back, front close bra. AMAZING. Well worth the 40 bucks it cost.
Two of my neices are naturally this size. I buy most of their bras from either Macy's (on sale which happens at least once every other month) or JC Penny's. Macy's does have a larger selection. I also have purchased bras for them online from www.braexperience.com but their prices are high and they take forever to ship but the quality of the merchandise and the selection of sizes can't be matched. So that makes it worth it.
Good luck and congratulations on little man.
I know you asked for inexpensive, BUT 2 victoria secret bras will do the job of 4 or 5 traget ones. Also, they have them on sale quite often for $20.00.
Trust me, I resisted them forever because I hate spending money on myself. But, I had the HARDEST time finding my size. once I gave in and bought one, I won't go back. I am also a 34 DD and they usually have them.
Check-out Kohl's if you have one near you. I have the complete opposite issue with respect to size, but the "ladies" are a little lopsided after nursing my son, so there are other challenges there. Kohl's has a fairly wide selection and that have "door buster" sales every-other-week so the prices are reasonable.
I was large chested before kids and I feel like I'm even larger afterwards but the best place that I go to for bras are Nordstrom. I realize that it may be a bit expensive but it's an investment and it'll last you a while. You want something that is of good quality and of course will last.
have you tried hanes.com? I hear JCPenny has a good selection/price. I have to get mine made but I know I have seen many that I like in the hanes catalog!
I'm with Angela... I spend 80-120 at Nordstroms for 36DDDD-38DDD.
SUPER pretty, gorgeous, and I've yet to have a single one last for less than 5 years being washed at least twice a week, and I have 2 that are 7 years old.
They don't keep odd sizes on the racks, but in the back. I just walk up and say "I'd like to see everything you've got in an underwire, thin strapped, demi or balcony, preferably lacy in 36DDDD-38DDD." I usually get 20-30 different bras to try on.
Since cheaper bras tend to only last 1-2 years (if that) I figure that drops the "price" down to $20-30. Still and all, they're expensive out the gate. So I only buy a couple a year.
I've had the underwire pop out in two of them (impalement bras, wheeee). Paid $5 to have them sewn back in.
I'd check Target online or ask at customer service if they can order or request your size from another store.
