its the one thing my hubby told me he wants. It doesn't have to be top of the line, just something he can use to play w/our son that's not cheap.... and he's a normal size guy 5 8' and regular built, how big do i get? his hands seem normal size to me... size large for punching gloves
???? thanks so much

What can I do next?

Finally...something I know a lot about! I played softball thru college and always used a Wilson glove...that was my favorite by far. Easton is also a great brand, as is Rawlings. I'd stay with one of those 3. Sizing just depends on what the person feels comfortable with. Good luck!

Well, just a thought if you don't want to guess--get him a gift card for the store where he'll buy it.

wilson and rawlings are two of the best brands....my hubby is standing here so you are actually getting a mans opinion. Sizing is hard he says. Its best to go and get the glove hand fit. He is also saying it depends on the postion being played. Target has a good selection. I would go to a sporting go store thought hopefully they will have people who are educated on the matter(my hub played little league). I wouldnt discredit his advice, but i would go and ask somewone where they know more of what they are talking about.

Easton, Rawling, Wilson are all great brands. Fit is by hand size and position played. Catcher and first base have different size gloves than all the other positions.

If they just want to toss the ball around then you don't need a glove for those positions. But it really would be best to take him to a sporting good store and try on the gloves till he finds the one that's the best fit and comfort for him.

My daughter and her dad loved Rawlings but it was such a personal choice as far as fit and feel (they are hardcore!!). I know how cool it is to pick the perfect gift but maybe the gift card or taking him shopping for it could work. Have fun!!
