I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good photographer in the West suburbs. We live in Moon twp. and have used both The Pitcure People & Target in Robinson. Target was much better than the other, but I was hoping someone might have an actual photographer (rather than a studio) to recommend. I really think it is the person more than the place that makes my 2 1/2 yr old son comfortable. He is getting better at smiling, but we don't have any professional photos of him smiling - just the ones that I take. In fact, I gave up on the profs. & started taking my own for a while.
Thoguht we'd try again for Chritmas - but I want a smiling boy!
We highly recommend the photographer we used for our wedding and our son's pics. She comes to you with all kinds of props, and this makes it a lot of fun and relaxing. There's also no limit on number of outfits, pictures, or packaging that you have to stick to. She lives in Moon (so do we).

I cannot say enough about Darla Peitrich who owns Riveting Edge Photography (www.rivetingedge.com). She is the next Ann Geddes...her pics are INCREDIBLE! Plus, she has three kids herslf (age 16, 2 and under 1) so she is great with kids. The greatest thing is that she WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE!!! No stuffy studio, where your child is uncomfortable. Darla is sweet, professional, and is the best photographer I have EVER worked with (I've worked with them for over 20 years). If you would like, I would gladly emai you pics, or go on her website.

I LOVE our photographer. It is called Three Winks Photography. She comes right to your house. She is reasonably priced for a professional photographer and her pictures are OUT OF THIS WORLD! We just got my daughters newborn photos- she does both outdoor/action and has a moblie studio that she brings with her (for black or solid backrounds). What about that photography place(I dont know the name) on Rt 60 across from Brusters Ice Cream its new,I havent tried it but it might be worth checking out. I can sent you an e-mail after Friday I am going past there and I can look and see what the name is.It is called STUDIO TEN. I have tried the Picture People and it became so expensive if you want extras it was ridiculous. I wont go there anymore. I take my own and set up a backround for my 2 and 1/2 yo and use the online www.snapfish.com for the cards for x-mas it way less expensive.
