I haven't tried them but when I watched a segment on these shoes on the Dr's they stated that they didn't work as well as the claims. But anything is worth a try!
In my health mag. it mentions using these shoes which are supposed to 'sculpt every inch of your legs & strengthen you abs & back'
Has anyone used or does anyone use these shoes specifically or the like? They are a hefty price but if they do as it says, worth it to me when I do not have time to go to the gym. If anyone has used them, what are your results & when did you begin seeing them? Thanks!

Hi J.,
I just got a pair of Chung Shi sport shoes. They area lot like the skeckers I've seen in ads and have been around a lot longer. They are hard to get used to because I rock back on the heel to make you stand straight . But I enjoy walking in them, it seems almost effortless . I don't think i would try Jazzercise in them though. I haven't worn them enough t say that it sculpts . They have a nice website also.
Have fun walking. K. P
I bought a pair of MBTs back in April. My husband suggested it because I had been having sore back problems (and since the're supposed to help your posture) and he knew someone at work who swore by them. I got them at the Walking Store. The salesperson told me you needed to get them to fit very snugly and assured me I'd gotten the correct size even though I wanted a bigger size. I even bought two pairs of special bamboo socks from them as well.
Pro: I do think my posture is better. I do think I am getting some workout because my calf muscles were sore the first couple of times.
Con: If I wear them for more than 2-3 hours, my sciatica acts up (haven't had THAT problem since I was pregnant 11 years ago) and I get blisters on my heels. I cannot "run" or "jog" in them at all (like to hustle to get somewhere) ~ in fact it's hard to balance on them at first.
Neutral: I don't notice that my legs, abs or butt are sculpted or any firmer and I haven't lost any weight.
Hi,
I ordered the Curves sandal from my friend Robin who sell Avon. They were about $20. I don't wear them every day, but when I do I notice a soreness around my knee. They appear to be working ;)
I just bought a pair, at Macy's, this past week. They come with a little book and dvd to watch. It says that the shoes are suppose to mimic walking on the sand which works your muscles out more than walking on the sidewalk. I think that the shoes are extremely comfortable. I went a half size up because I felt the other size was too tight. No one told me that they should be tight fitting. My legs were a little sore after the first day, so something must be working.
Well, I love the shoes. It has only been a few days since I bought them so I don't have any huge results to report.
Good luck.
I received a pair of MBT sneakers from hubby shortly after giving birth. I wore them all the time while walking my son in the baby carrier and jogging stroller. You do have to start with short walks, then gradually move to longer walks. Instantly, I saw an improvement in my posture and some toning in my legs, thighs, and tush. I felt soreness in my muscles even after the first wear. (I still have a long way to go!) I have recommended them to a few other moms and friends, who really like them and wear them to work. I usually wear them with longer pants and jeans because I think they're ugly, haha. I also have the Fit Flops which also promise similar things. Well, they're not like a visit to the gym or a personal trainer, but I think they really help with posture and mostly, just getting out of the house to walk. Good luck!
Hi J.,
I have been wondering the same thing...... Would love to hear if you get any answers. Of course it does sound a little to good to be true. Just walking around will help sculpt your body & loose weight??
Of course walking is excercise & maybe the shoes cause you to WANT to WALK MORE...I don;t know??
But would love to find out. I would assume they are expensive (just because the name brand etc) but how much is expensive??
Can they be purchased at the Sketchers discount store in Folsom factory outlets? It may be a little better price??
Love to hear what you find out....
Well, I just read some of the responses....I think I am more confused?? Are they good for your back or bad if you have previous back problems?? Conflicting info here?? I guess a little more research will be neccessary..oh well.
I have a husband with a very problematic back, would love to get anything that may help him....thanks again
I interested in knowing the same thing!
I have MBTs, and I can definitely feel my calf muscles and hammies working harder when I wear them. My Pilates instructor noticed I had more strength in these areas after just one week (no, she did not sell them to me or anything like that!), though I can't say that I've seen any huge change in my leg shape. Of course, I need to burn off more fat to see anything, and I haven't really been looking. I bought the MBTs to improve my gait to help with back issues. If you have issues with your S-I joint and/or sciatica, please note that the shoes come with different levels of difficulty -- the higher the ugly performance sole, the more effective yet more difficult on that part of your back the shoes are. I'm not sure if brands other than MBT have theses different levels, and the MBTs are very pricey. Try looking for last year's models online -- sometimes you can find them for half off.
