I have a 10.5 month old daughter and am struggling with the same issue. I have found that she really likes Boca Burgers (soy based hamburgers). And Morningstar breakfast sausage patties (again soy based). I feel good giving her these sometimes and not regular sausage or hamburger all the time. I have also been trying to stick to whole grains (english muffins, toast, oatmeal, pasta). My daughter loves to eat so she is good at eating whatever we give her. Of course fresh fruits (bananas, plums, peaches). Veggies (peas, cooked carrots, green beans). There are also some canned fruit that are in 100% fruit juice instead of syrup (sliced peaches, fruit coctail). Just some things I have tried. let me know if you come up with anything else! :-)

Avocado was a big one in my house; homemade applesauce without any sweet added; also loved raspberries that were really mushy as well! (though messy);

You can mash avacados, and steam sliced zuchinni, squash, sweet potatoes. How about pasta noodles with a little sauce. You can also get chicken or turkey breasts and use them for lunch, if he doesnt have many teeth you can puree them and add some mayo and serve as is or spread it on bread.

My 10 month old twins love lasagna. I make it with whole wheat noodles, low fat cheeses, spinach and a meat sauce. they only have 2 teeth, but love it Try mashed potatoes with spinach in it. Turkeyburgers are also a good option. They are pretty good at gumming most of what I give them. I steamed some mixed vegi's and boiled chicken for dinner. The loved it, and my daughter is a very picky eater!

At that age my daughters and the little one I babysit were all eating soft fruit that I cut up in small bites (depending on teeth you can do harder fruit like apples) If they didn't have many teeth like my oldest (she only had four at 15 months) I would steam the fruit and veggies a little first and then cut up into bite size pieces. I fed them cheddar cheese and block cheese in small bites. I made oatmeal (not the packet kind), grits, creme of wheat. I made homemade chicken noodle soup, chicken and rice soup, bean soups, and so on. I fed them fish in small amounts at first to test for allergies. I made homemade animal crackers (made from oatmeal, honey, and so on). Scrambled eggs go over like champs. After they got a little bigger I added real bacon bits.

Hope you can get some ideas from that. Steamed and pureed fruits and veggies are a good place to start then work you way from there.

Feed him whatever you cook. Just puree the food and don't make it too spicey. If he had teeth, you can keep it a little on the chunky side. He'll love to eat the same things mommy and daddy eat. Have fun mommy.
