I need help moms. Please no sales people need to comment I don't want to sale things or offer items or whatever. I just want to work for a great company, that is all I want. I had my dream job, it was amazing the hours, the benefits, the pay everything was PERFECT. I was so thankful that I had a friend that got my foot in the door, and I got the job. I was planning retiring with this company, I was 24 when I started and 25 when they closed the doors. Now I am lost at 26. Before I had this dream job I had been laid off from 2 other companies so for it to happen a 3rd time devestated me. I have worked a couple jobs since then but I can't get over certain things and I end up quitting. Rather its crazy people I am working with that scare me, hours, not enough money to even cover my childcare the list is endless. Here is what I need help with, I need to be given another chance at another great company to start over again. I am ready for long term, I am ready for a career. I have to focus on companies versus jobs to make sure it is a strong stable company. I love office work, give me paperwork, a/p, a/r, payroll, filing any of it....its right up my alley. I just need some recommendations on companies or jobs you may know of or advice anything at this point. I have tried temp agencies as well and they don't work for me for some reason, I have no luck in that area. I am at rock bottom. I feel like I am on the verge of tears at every given moment. I am an emotional person, but NOT THIS BAD!! LOL!! It doesn't help that I hear condescending comments quite a bit from certain people that are close to me in life that make me feel about an inch big.

What can I do next?

Don't give up! Companies are still looking for good stable people and offer good benefits!

Why are you getting negative comments from loved ones? Are they negative people or do you need to spiff up your look or attitude a bit? Just keep looking professional, behaving professional and network and go on as many interviews as it atkes to get the right job. Get a new professional haircut and business attire if you need to.

Don't make a rash decsion-pray about what is offered. If you are involved in a church-let your Sunday school class and staff know that you are looking and what your skills are. If not, still send out an email-not whining-just stating facts that your are looking for a good stable job and would appreciate if anyone knows anyone looking.

Blessings-pray you will find a great job soon!

Sorry to hear you having a rough time. Just remember things always get better after you hit rock bottom!
I have a dream job and I encourage you not to limit your options. It sounds like you have tried working outside the home and it did not work out. I am my own boss, set my own hours, don't sell anything, and work flexible hours from home while spending quality time with my children. I realize working from home is not for everyone but for me it has been a blessing and the money is much more than I ever dreamed of making.
If you do not find what you are looking for I encourage you to expand your options and visit my website at www.WorkatHomeUnited.com/jobs to request information. Then I can call you to schedule an overview interview.
Blessings to you,
M.

Two Christian radio stations have websites for Jobs/Careers which are www.kcbi.org and www.klty.com. Also, you can look at Yahoo and Dallas Morning News or Fort Worth Star Telegram for job openings on their websites. Think of large companies in your area and go to their websites. Most companies post their openings. Have you had someone review your resume to make sure there are no errors? As tight as the job market is right now, employers will use any excuse to toss an application or resume if they have errors.

here's another website I found recently: www.careerworkshops.org/

Good luck.

A.

You can always go back to school and broaden your skills or train in an area that allows you to work from home. I am a medical transcriptionist for 8 years now and love it. Granted the pay is what I make it to be each month but I can work when I am sick or the kids are sick, take vacation or a day off when needed or wanted, etc. Basically, I am my own boss. It can be a hard field to get into these days with the new technology of voice dictation (you talk into the microphone on the computer and it types for you), but once your in it is a great job.

I am not familiar with the schools in the area but if there is one for you, I would look into it. You can also do medical billing at home with some companies, etc.

There are options out there and I would be cautious of any companies who are not willing to give you information upfront about what they are and what they do.

Praying for you,

J. S.
