I have VERY thick curly hair and am looking for a place to get my hair done that is good but inexpensive. I am looking to get a cut and highlights. I have been to many different places and cant seem to find one that i like. I also only go about twice a year cause its so expensive but i would really love to find an affordable place so i can get my hair done more often

I like Hair Cutters in Tinley Park. Not fancy at all, but the girls seem to know what they are doing and prices are VERY reasonable. This is located on 171st Street across from the Jewel. Don't get confused with Hair Cuttery which is in the Jewel plaza.

Try Ulta in Naperville (Aurora Ave near Rt 59) and ask for Meg. I have curly hair and she does a fantastic job. It's about $40 for a haircut and style.
I go to Planet Color in Mokena (191st and Wolf). Joe is the best, but I go to Jess who does a nice job, too. They have a website...just google Planet Color, Mokena, if you are interested. Still a little pricey ($35/cut), but maybe worth it for a good cut/color...

I have an awesome hair dresser. She works from her home but was trained with Mario Tricoci. She is a master when it comes to color and cut. Did I say her prices are absolutely fabulous.
