When I cook my brisket barbeque style, I put the brisket in a cooking bag (large bag but not turkey size) with plenty of salt and pepper and a bottle of KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce. I cook it on 250 degrees for about 6 to 8 hours. You could cook it overnight if you wanted too as this method really doesn't dry out the meat. Don't forget to puncture the bag in a couple of places near the tie though.

If you don't want the barbeque flavor, substitute the barbeque sauce for a 32 oz container of beef broth. Then also add a diced onion for flavoring.

Good luck.

I order mine by the pound from my local bbq restaurant. Not sure how close you are to Wichita falls, but Branding Iron is AMAZING.

I don't have an actual recipe but whenever I am in a jam regarding a recipe I go on the Food Network site... www.foodnetwork.com i usually find what I am looking for there. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

I cook my brisket in a low temp oven...200-250 all day. I use barbecue shake n bake. I use a whole pouch of shake n bake and cover the top of the brisket completely. I use a 13X9 pan and fill it up with water until the water reaches halfway up the brisket. I then cover tightly with foil. Depending on the size of brisket you probably need to cook it at least 4-5 hours or so. You will be able to smell when it is done. One issue with this method is that I have not seen the barbecue shake n bake at my grocery store. Anyway, good luck and I am sure your brisket will be great!!
