T.S.
There is a "seat cooler" called a "Baby Be Cool". You put it in the seat when you leave the car to keep it cool...maybe it would help to use this? Just an idea if you haven't heard of it...the website is babybecool.com.
My baby has always been a "Hot Baby." Our baby is 4 month soon to be 5 months and him being hot has never been a problem in his car seat but now he sweats an will begin to cry and I am trying to figure out how to keep him cool in the seat as we go out and about. It isn't hot in the car we blast the ac to make him cool as we shiver in the front but whenI pick him up his back and the back of his head is damp. I was told to put a wet rage behind him but I don't want his clothes to be wet ad a cold pack not sure if that will be too cold...help!?
Thank you everyone...I will let you know when I get results!!

Even though it's not recommended to give a baby water, because my son was also a hot sweaty baby, used to give him a small bottle of 2 oz of water in the car. It seemed to help. After all I figure he may need extra water if he is sweating so much.
The good thing is he grew out of it. I like the cool blanket idea, but I would stay away from any ice packs because you don't want to freezer burn his skin. Baby's skin is super sensitive! I owuld put the blanket in a big zip lock bag to keep it dry.
You could wrap a frozen cold pack in a hand towel and place it under the fabric of the seat. That way, his clothes and seat won't get wet. Make sure it is one of those flexible gel ones so that it is not uncomfortable.
I also had a hot baby and at 5 he still is hot. He rarely sleeps in pjs and will only wear long sleeves when it is freezing outside.
My kids always sweat in the car seat! If it going to be a short trip maybe keep a couple of receiving blankets in the refrigerator before leaving line the car seat with it. If not too cold maybe freeze them
. Also, when we would be out in the hot weather I would take a spray bottle fine mister and fill it with tepid tap water. Any time you mist your body with water (even if the water is initially warm) it will help cool you down. We did this at a trip to Disney world in AGUST!! t was a life saver. Not one of my kids got heat stroke or dehydrated, I did from spraying down and constantly making four kids drink water all the time....LOL. One last idea they make those little fans that clip to headboards I know they make a version to help keep your dog cooler in the car...that would help too. Good Luck!
My daughter was the same way. We bought a fan that you can plug into the lighter. We would face toward her but not blow directly in her face.
