I prefer the Huggies Little Movers to the Snug and Dry. I think it's a much better fit and haven't had any problems with dyes.
Hi mamas! I was wondering if anyone else has been having issues with the "snug n dry" diapers? I noticed this morning on the inside of my daughters thighs there was a greenish tint to them (one leg worse than the other). My first thought is they were bruises caused by the diapers being too tight or something. When I dropped her off at daycare I told the ladies about it and they told me it was actually the dye from her diapers. They said there was 3 other children in the daycare that they knew of with the same problem from the same diaper. If anyone has noticed this, is there a way to get the dye off? Thanks :)
Thank you everyone for your advice.. the dye was actually off her skin today! Daycare asked what I wanted and I told them to go ahead and finish the few snug ones they had to see if it came back and if so to switch her to the other diapers I bought. and instructed hubby to do same. I figured calling Kimberly-Clarke, they would require me to do it one time so i'm going to beat them to the punch!

We use them, and I haven't noticed anything.
But ours are blue inside. Not sure if that's just depending on when I bought them or what...
Have you ever considered cloth diapers? I was VERY skeptical at first, but now I love it. The main reason I switched to cloth was to save money, but the secondary reason was because I didn't want her exposed to all of the chemicals found in disposables (not to mention how long it takes them to decompose in the landfill). I mean, can you really truly know that those chemicals are safe for a baby? Even Johnson & Johnson's shampoo contains carcinogens. I encourage you to consider cloth. My favorites are bumGenius 4.0 pocket diapers and sustainablebabyish|sloomb fitteds with wool covers. Check it out online.
my daughter uses em, only diaper she can wear n no problems here at all
I have two boys in diapers and mainly use Huggies. I haven't had any issues with their skin turning green, but I have noticed that the diapers have been smelling really weird in the last couple of weeks. It is like a chemical smell, not a urine smell. I didn't notice this before, so I'm thinking that Huggies may have changed their diapers recently.
I used to use Pampers diapers exclusively until they changed their diapers and my sons started getting weird chemical burns/rashes on their legs. Now I'm going to see if switching to Kirkland (Costco) diapers helps any.
I was thinking of even calling Kimberly-Clarke to ask if they had done anything new to Huggies, but I don't suppose that would actually do anything to help me.
YES!! I noticed that 2 weeks ago with my son!
I am switching brands when we run out of Huggies.
Use COSTCO's house brand diapers. They are wonderful and a whole lot cheaper!
That's a scary thing..no one wants chemical dye on their kids! I used to use huggies, but now use the target brand because they're cheaper and do just as good of a job. good luck!
