I joined a playgroup using meetup.com and have met wonderful moms and kids...just go to different ones until you find one you love!
Hi! We just moved to the area less than a month ago, and with the weather getting colder I am in desperate need of some good suggestions on indoor places to go with my 2 children. I have a 3 1/2 year old boy and a 14 month old girl.
Thanks so much!

My favorite place is Paradise Pond in Grapevine. It has a store area, a car area, dinosaur area, dress-up, a bounce house, a play featuer like the McDonalds play land and more. It is only $1 per person to get in (adults included). It is open from 9-11 on Thursdays and Fridays. Paradise Pond is in the old sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Grapevine. Two blocks east of Main and two blocks south of northwest hwy. It is certainly worth the drive from Keller and my boys always nap so well when we get home.
We go to Cabelas to get out of the house. It's right down the street and my son loves to feed the koi and look at the aquarium.
Ridgmar Mall is about 20 minutes from Keller. They have a great indoor toddler playground. We can make a whole day of this..playground, lunch at the food court, go to the indoor fountains. Occasionally, I get really lucky, he falls asleep and I get some time to browse the mall.
And the Ft Worth Modern Art Museum is free on Wednesdays. You may want to double check what exhibits they have running before you go - they are not always kid friendly, depending on your comfort level. I have been pleasantly surprised that those visits have gone well. I think and hope my 3 year old is learning how to behave in a museum. Sometimes we bring snacks and go eat outside near the water for a break. And he loves to hear the echoes in the sculpture out front! We have been doing this trip since he was about a year old.
Admission to the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science costs $9 for adults, but toddlers are free. They have a terrific section just for children that includes water play, dress up, building and nature. But my son was just as fascinated with all the exhibits we saw throughout the museum. They have a dino dig that is especially nice, because it is inside
Glenview Baptist church opens their indoor playground to the public on certain days of the week. Get there early, they fill up quick and may have to turn you away.
We tried Paradise Pond in Grapevine's First Baptist church yesterday, and it's wonderful! Only costs a $1 per adult/child and lots to do with your little ones. It's open on Thursday and Friday mornings 9am - 11am.

Lakeline mall's playplace is great (that is if you go early because bigger kids join in around 11:30 or so and they trample the little ones). I have two girls, the oldest will be four on January 10, and the youngest will be two on December 4. We live right near the edge of NRH and Keller, near that Target on Davis.
I would also highly recommend the Amon Carter museum (free admission) and the Kimbel (free for their standing collection but a small charge for their special exhibits). My girls love telling me about all of the colors they see and looking at all the interesting ways to draw and paint!
We also try to hang out with friends some and visit the library (the new NRH library even has a little play area).
Hope this helps and God bless:),
Loni

Welcome to the area and good luck!
If you are looking to do something on a more consistent basis, you could try The Little Gym. My son just turned 3 and has been going since he was 10 months. He loves it!
Let's Jump also has hours during the week when they are open to the public. It's on the corner of 377 and Kroger Dr. I take my kids there all the time to wear them out.
