I got one last year through One Step Ahead, the Sun Smarties cabana. I loved it, my baby slept in it on the beach everyday, and it was easy to put up and down. It is small, just for baby to sleep or play in.
Anyone have any suggestion. I am going to FL in a few weeks to visit family and my daughter will be 6 weeks old. I don't want to spend too much time at the beach but I do have a 4yr old that will want to hit the beach and pool. So I'm looking for a good beach tent/cabana recommendation. I have picked out a few that are UPF rated, UV protected, etc. Just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with one though? Thanks.
Thanks everyone! We went with the one step ahead canopy. We spend alot of time usually at the pool and beach here anyhow so renting one wouldn't work (but a good idea) :)

Look at the magazine One Step Ahead....They have great baby stuff and i think just what your looking for you can go online to the website..www.Onestepahead.com.
L.L.Bean puts out a good one. It was given to us as a gift and it has worked out very well. It's a little difficult to put together on a windy day but it surely stands up to the wind once assembled.
Check out One Step Ahead (onestepahead.com). They have some awesome products on that site!
Check out www.onestepahead.com. I have the cabana from here but they also have a few other options. The cabana goes up and down very easily and fast. All it takes is 4 stakes to secure it to the sand and it folds up to practically nothing which makes it easy to carry and get around. I also use it at home when I'm outside with the kids for my 10-month-old, the stakes are a bit harder to get into dirt but it still works great. Have fun.
We took our son to Myrtle Beach last fall when he was 7 weeks old. I can't remember the exact one we got but I got it at Babies R Us. They have quite a few. I think just make sure to look into one that is easy to fold down (ours we had trouble figuring it out at first but when we figured it out it was nice to be folded into its own case). Also we made sure it was big enough to fit our son's take-a-long swing into it. At that young age you will prob want something for him to sit in there in. IT was nice because for the most part he slept and we carted him everywhere ... we only took the tent with us to the beach and the outdoor pools ... indoor pools (if you have any where you are going) we just took the swing and he napped wherever we were!
Target has a great selection of beach tents right now. I don't have a specific one in mind but had a couple thoughts. I would think a light colored one would be best and I would buy a battery operated fan that can clip on to the tent somewhere. They have fans at babies r us that are for strollers that might work.
Can you rent a full size one? We rented one when we were in Sarasota last year, and it was so nice because my hubby and I could sit under it with our son.
