Infant Life Jacket Waterpark

I absolutely think you need a infant life jacket. I bought my son's @ a sporting goods store, I think it was O'Brien brand. Those floaty things are not designed to be life preservers. The life jacket isn't the most comfortable thing, but you'll have peace of mind and your child will be safe. At that age they don't necessarily have any fear and it's important that you exercise as much caution as possible. We took my son to the lake at that age and he learned that he 'has' to wear his life jacket at all times. It's just a good habit to get into.

We just went to Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells and they supply them for free. I'd call ahead and see if they have them before you spend the time/energy to buy one.

You might want to check with the resort if you can bring in your own floats. Most resorts wont let you bring in a tube float of your own. I have been to the Wilderness and can't remember what they say about that. They do have life jackets for the kids. My daughter who is now two uses the life jackets and loves them. We have bought her the Speedo brand and it works great. I hope you have fun.

If you plan on spending much time in the water this summer, you may as well invest in a jacket that fits her well. All the sporting goods stores, and ever Walmart/Target have a selection. She can pick the color she likes and then won't balk at wearing it. Have fun.

I just want to let you know that some of the bigger waterparks have complimentary life vests to use. We've been to Blue Harbor in Sheboygan, WI and they offer various size life vests for the hotel guests. (They are free to use at this park.) Maybe call ahead and ask the Wilderness if they supply them for their guests.)

There are some bathing suits for girls and boys that have floatable material inside their bathing suits... just another thought.

As most people have said most waterparks have life jackets you can use while there, but if you are around water outside a waterpark alot it may be worth looking into. With my oldest we got her a suit that has foamlike floaties built into it. It is not exactly a life preserver, but it does give us piece of mind. The one we have was done by aqua leisure. Also, some places won't let you bring in "outside" life jackets or tubes or things like that. We had a membership at the YMCA for a while and they wouldn't let us use our "floatie suit" we were only allowed to use the life jackets they supplied. I would call the Wilderness Resort and find out what they supply/what their rules are about bringing outside things in.

You may want to find out if they allow inflatables. A lot of public pools and waterparks do not but they do allow life jackets on children. I would get the life jacket just in case they do not allow the innertube.
