Ohh, I'd be in a rolled up pair of shorts that are about to go into the wash. I have also found it in the kid's closet, behind the mini-blinds on a window sill and on top of the toilet.
Yup, my phone is missing. I have looked all the general places and then some (couch cushions, between/under car seats, called various places to check lost and found). Here's the crappy part - the battery was dead so I can't call and listen for a ring to help me find it! :-(
It isn't an expensive phone at all, let alone a smartphone (thank goodness!) but I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of replacing it. But it sucks to be without!
So, I am supposed to ask a question...where is the STRANGEST place you have found/left your phone?!
So...I found it...You'll never guess where...
IN MY FLIPPIN PURSE!!!!!!!!!!
I SWEAR I looked in there AND dumped stuff out to get a better look! Not enough stuff, apparently! I found it while tipping it and reaching down deep into the corner to see if I had any quarters for a cart at Aldis and there it was!! It must have been hiding in a fold of fabric or something! I feel like a dumbass...but so glad I didn't freak too bad! :-) Crazy... Is it Friday yet?! :-)

Pantry, top of washing machine, random bookshelves around the house, under the seat of my car, bottom of the laundry basket. Usually it is somewhere "safe" I set it while cooking, like on the kitchen windowsill or top of the toaster. Good luck!
If I were a phone, I would hide right next to my ear.
You have no idea how many times I have been looking for my phone (Like on my hands and knees full on searching) when I am actually holding it up to my ear ON A PHONE CALL. You have no idea how many times I have gotten so mad that I couldn't find it to the point where I actually say to the person on the phone... "I can't find my f-ing phone!" ... To which they reply... "Um... Aren't you talking on it?"... "Oh ya..."
In the middle of the street in front of my house , after being left on top of the car.
Mine hid on the top stair of our basement stairs. Which isn't that exciting, considering the endless loads of laundry I do, but the Find My iPhone app said it was in ... the next town over! And that it kept moving from house to house. My husband insisted that I file two police reports. The police (both towns) blamed my six-year-old. The six-year-old blamed a conspiracy between two housecats. And there it was on the top basement stair the whole time.
If I were a phone, I'd hide in plain sight. That way, you'd feel really dumb that you looked all day for it, and it was right there. Not speaking from experience or anything...
Anyway, retrace your steps. Call the stores you might have gone to. Walk back through your house and look in every area that you were in. If you did laundry look there, look in the baskets, look where you put them away. Do that for every room.
ETA: I was right!!! Haha! Happens to the best of us :)
bottom of my purse, under my wallet. That is why I buy purses with pockets and have specific places that I put things.
Call your carrier and ask them if they can temporarily cancel the line until you find it so you don't get charged overages?
Other places?
Under the front seat of my car.
In the laundry basket - put it in a back pocket - forgot about it since it was dead...
Freezer. Yep...putting food away and put it with the food!
In the pantry - getting food out for dinner or a meal and left it on the shelf.
Let's see...my boys toy box (this was years ago). It was dead - they thought it was old - so they were playing with it...they put it away!! LOL!!
Good luck! Hope you find it!!
The window sill in my closet, the pantry, shelf in laundry room, behind the pedestal sink, top shelf in bathroom, shelves around the house, under the seats in my car, the mail box, under the bed, in the pile of dirty laundry, in dresser drawers, BEHIND the dresser...I lost my keys yesterday and dug through the previous days trash bag and found them (and my daughters bow) at the very bottom of the bag! I must've had some trash AND keys in the same hand and just chunked it all! Oops! Hope you find your phone! ;)
I don't have an answer for my phone, but one for my keys. We have a drawer in the kitchen for spare keys (grandma's house, in-law's house, extra car keys, etc). I couldn't find my keys ANYWHERE (normally they're hanging by the door), and after an exhaustive search I finally gave up and went to get the extra one of of the drawer. Low and behold, there was my key ring. My 2 year old found it and "put it away" for me. So the strangest place was actually where the keys belonged. Thanks, kid! Now if only I could get him to put up the laundry...
In the washer, with the load of clothes I was carrying or in the drawer with the clothes I just put away. I usually find it on the window sill or under the couch. Once it was with the pile of remotes for the TV and it has been known to find it's way to the top of the fridge.
I would always find my "lost" phones in my children's toy box...
Some of the odd places I have left my phone:
Laundry basket
The towel shelf in the bathroom (frequently found here)
The catfood storage drawer
In my shoe
Inside the shoe storage box next to the front door (We live in Japan.)
On top of my son's dresser (frequently found here)
Remote control storage box
Toilet (The room, not the actual toilet bowl. The toilet is in a separate room from the bath in Japan.)
Good luck finding your phone. If I get easily distracted, I just put it down somewhere. I tend to leave it on the bathroom shelf a lot when I dry my hands off, or on my son's dresser if he has forgotten to turn off his airconditioner.
I was going to say couch cushions, but you have already checked. Check again and go super deep- those suckers slide so easily. The next place I would check is the fridge and freezer! I always set things in the wrong place when getting out food. I can guarantee my phone would be sitting on top of the eggs! Hope you find it.
In the pantry. I set it down when trying to get something out of a box.
My daughter once put hers in the fridge. LOL
Look in all the pockets of your clothing that you have worn lately.
Look in the fridge or freezer.
Look in shopping bags you may have had lately.
Look under pillows,
Under furniture. Not just the cushions.
In the toy pile.
In your cleaning supplies cabinets
Where you may put your mail
In the mailbox
In your purses that you may have used
in the bathroom
near where you did any chores
outside in your yard
in the laundry basket
ask your kids to look too... they often look in places we don't think about or see.
Between the bed and the wall or couch and the wall =)
My husband always leaves his phone in his pants pocket and then throws the pants in the washer. I don't know how many times I almost washed it.
Someone found my phone in the middle of a road.
I left it on my back bumper when I was loading the car. The battery was dead too, so he couldn't call me. When he tried to turn it on, the last number I dialed showed up briefly, so he kept turning it back on until he got the whole number. Called the number, and my FIL called me.
That poor guy went to a lot of work to get it back to me. Unfortunately, the car that hit it and sent it flying (which is when the guy spotted it) broke the microphone and it was toast. Fortunately, it was a cheapie phone and I just had to move the SIM card over.
Have you flipped your couch over yet?
I've found mine under the sofa, in my kitchen cabinets, and in my kids' shoes.
Inside one of my daughter's toys (a shape sorter). Hmmm....wonder how it got there?!?!?!
A running joke with my parents is "look in the freezer!" becuase my dad once spent hours looking for his glasses ( that he rarely even takes off!) only to find them in the freezer. One can only guess how or why...
Did you check the bottom of your purse? My purse is basically a black hole so who knows what is hiding out at the bottom. Other than that, did you have it in bed - check under the pillows and blankets. Grocery bags? Any pockets in your car? Glove compartment - could you have thrown it in there knowing the battery is dead?
If this were me, I would still call it - maybe it has enough juice left that you could hear the ring.
Good luck!!
Usually in the handbag I have already searched like 4 times.
My car, in a crevice that I swear I have checked before.
My work apron.
The grocery bags I carried in.
A shelf in my closet.
Folded in with my freshly washed clothes.
Under the pile of mail on my desk, The bathroom in the cabinet, or on the window seal.
I am beginning to remember when I used a paiger, at least I had to clip it to the waistband of my skirts or pants.
This just happened to me the other day! My two year old had hid my phone in his brother's closet in the infant bath tub.
About 12 months ago he was the prime suspect in the disappearance of my car keys.
