I'm looking for some recipes that are kid friendly. I'm having trouble getting my 3 1/2 year old to eat stuff other then hot dogs and chicken. I always give him a fruit or a veggie with but I'd really like to get him to try other things. I was wondering if any of you ladies knew of some not too time consuming kid friendly recipes possibly even ones he could help with or if you know of a good website with some. TIA

Hi J.,
Kraft always has such great recipes, some even allow your little guy to participate in the prep work. Good luck!

Hi J.. I know exactly what you are talking about! My little boy just turned 4, and does the same thing. :) I'm not really a very good cook, but am always concerned that my family is getting the proper amounts of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc. Anyway, my son loves Arbonne's Daily Power Punch for Kids. You just pour the drink mix into 6-8oz. of water. My son loves shaking it up, and says it tastes good too. :) Just one drink gives him the equivalent of one whole fruit and vegetable! It just makes me feel good to know that he's getting good supplementation to the crazy way he tends to want to eat.
Here's some additional info:
This great-tasting power punch drink mix combines super food antioxidants with core vitamins and minerals known to support children's health. It has no artificial flavors, color or sweeteners.
Proprietary Blend: Super ProFood Blend™ for kids
Key Ingredients: Vitamins and minerals, whole food fruit and vegetables
Recommended for: Daily vitamin and mineral supplementation

Hope this helps!

My kids (at that age) liked quesadillas with plain cheese, pasta (without sauce)... beanie/cheesies (refried beans with sprinkled cheese toasted onto a tortilla)... "taco" potatoes- a potato with anything on it.. taco toppings, or ham, cheese, brocolli, etc. pizza, of course (whole wheat crust versions as well) They really preferred making their own pizza on an English muffin.
Boy... this doesn't sound too original, but hope it helps. It's hard to go back so many years! Oh.. soup.. if they help make it, they will eat it! My kids prefer the tomato based soups over the creamy kinds. We just throw everything in the crock pot and cook it all day. And I used to serve it lukewarm in a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon! They still like plastic spoons!
Hope this helps- I can share some soup recipes if that's something your interested in. :)

I'm really enjoying J. Seinfeld's cookbook for kids. It's called, "Deceptively Delicious". Good luck!

Some of the easiest things I have gotten my picky kids to eat are
Pan fried ham steaks
Pork chops w/ applesauce to dip in
Chicken on a stick (they think the stick makes it cool to eat and there are many ways to marinate the chicken to everyones taste, stick on a stick, and grill, bake, whatever! Serve with dipping sauces they like, ketchup, jellies, guac, peanutbutter, applesauce, honey, etc.) other meats would work
Macaroni & Cheese w/ veggies and ham in it(homemade, storebought, whatever they eat)
These are a few of my super-fast and easy makes, good luck! Oh, and I made a shrimp scampi bake and asparagus the other night, not thinking the kids would like it, and my 4 year old said asparagus is her very favorite veggie! Who woulda guessed? So keep trying- you never know!

HI J.,

I just bought a book called "The Sneaky Chef". There are two but one caters to children. There are awesome, EASY, ways to sneak nutrition into the things kids like. Barnes and Noble sells it for sure.
