Hi Moms,
Have any of you used one of these products that lengthen your eyelashes and makes them more full? Like Latisse or (even better) something less expensive and over the counter? Do they work? Any side effects? Curious if they really do the trick. Thanks!

I have used Li Lash and really really works! I love it!
I started using it when my step mom, which did not have any lashes at all showed up with this thick and long lashes and were not fake ones! She gave me her secret a year ago and I am very very happy with it!
You can buy it in the internet, they have it in amazon for about 80.00 dlls, last year was 110.00

My aunt owns a high end salon and she sells Latisse. She and my cousin both use it and, yes, it really works. They have not had any side effects, nor have their clients reported any side effects to them.

I am fortunate to have good lashes but I also want them thicker, etc.

I was introduced to the Christian Dior Maximizer from Sephora about a year ago and I LOVE this product. It makes a huge difference.

It is a conditioner/primer you use before your good mascara. I've had people ask me if I have lash extensions!

I use the Dior ($28) and Clinique High Impact Mascara (less than $20) and it is worth it to me.

I've heard too many side effect stories about Latisse, however, I am one who avoids any RX when possible.

Latisse is actually sold under the name Lumigan as a glaucoma medication. My Mom had gloucoma and her doctor told me this. I wouldn't use it unless I had spoken to a gloucoma specialist.

I use Mableline volumizer mascara it has 2 brushes one is for a white mascara that thickens and lengthens and the other is the usual black or brown mascara. I use the one with the curved brush because I like that look better.

I've seen the results on someone else using Rapid Lash and it's worked a little for me. I think it's like anything else.... things work better for some than others. I found Rapid Lash at Ulta, CVS and online at Costco (cheapest).

One of my friends did use latisse. She had to stop because they were so long. I have heard that your eye color can permanantly change. There is also a discoloration of the lid where you put the product at the root of your lashes. For my friend she did experience the discoloration of the lid but for her it was not permanent but it can be. And her hazel eyes did not change color. BUT DO NOT put it on your lower lashes.

Years ago I used a product from Jan Marini before Latisse was a prescription and it was amazing. I started using Latisse two months ago because I had to spend a bunch of money from my flexible spending account or I will lose it. I had very normal lashes, light with my strawberry blond hair and green eyes. They are so thick, dark and long it is crazy!!

Yep, Latisse under the other name was for glaucoma. Not all "side effects" of medications are bad and tons of medications are used for more than it was originally intended.

A coworker told me about Ardell Brow & Lash growth excellerator. It's only $3 on drugstore dot com. I was willing to try it for the cheap price. I have been using it for about a month and a half and I think it is working. I don't wear make up daily but when I put mascara on for a date w/hubby they definitely looked longer. They are not darker but are fuller and slightly longer. It's not noticeable w/out mascara though. And you have to continue to use it daily. I will stick with it but only because it's inexpensive. I have not had any side effects with this product.
