Hi,

I was wondering who of you is a member of Lifetime Fitness and which programs and services do you use ???

So technically I want to know which stuff is fun and worth signing up for.....

I just went to their Open House and am totally intrigued, but the amount of services is overwhelming.....

I know I want to use the pool, sauna and steam room for sure......Zumba looks like soooooooo much fun......

So many choices !!!!!!!!

Oh, and personal training sessions .....worth it ?!?

What do you do ???

What can I do next?

I love Lifetime fitness.

The classes I have been to include: barbell strength, pilates, spinning, Zumba, Strike (one of my favorite), total conditioning (also amazing).

I use the child care center and have never been disappointed.

Love the indoor and outdoor pool.

I do not use the spa or personal training but am considering pt.

I think it is worth the money.

We have been members of lifetime a couple of times now- the first time before kids, and then we eventually dropped because the club was too far away from our house. The second time, we moved and love it! My kids love it and can't wait to go! For me the critical piece is the childcare and they actually have decent childcare- which is such a relief! The classes are great- that is the type of fitness that I enjoy so I definately took advantage of those. Never used the personal trainers(too expensive for me although I should!) We use family pool time on weekends and during the week. The more that you can incorporate your family into the experience- the more it shows the commitment to a healthy lifestyle, which is a great gift to give your kids! Also, the facility is always clean and well maintained. It definately feels like you are going to a club vs a gym.

Lifetime fitness...my family found it to be a wonderful place. Better and safer than LA fitness (pedophiles and fat workout instructors had to file a report). We took a lot of the spin classes (were awesome!), pilates, core, ball workout, yoga etc.

My husband and daughter did the personal training for a bit; they felt after a few sessions it wasn't worth it due to the trainer would make them walk the treadmill for 20 minutes then put them on another machine; by the 3rd session placed them on a circuit of weight machines...it was things they had already been doing so they stopped and money not refunded.

The spa treatments are bit costly. So more or less great classes, great equipment to workout on, fun rockcliming, basketball, sauna nice, whirl pool so relaxing; great outside pool for summer, inside pool has fun water aerobics...etc. The locker rooms are nice, we love how you use your card to get your key so you could pin it to the inside of your workout outfit, kids enjoyed watching tv in the locker room, showers we're always clean...there are a lot of unclothed women walking around (i wasn't too comfortable with that at all.)

Yes, Lifetime has a lot to offer...so much it makes your head swim looking at it all. We stayed for 3 years and just ended our membership due to we now have a fitness room at home and now save that money. If you are looking for a wide variety of things to do and/or have kids want them to be in a safe environment; lifetime is excellent for the cost. In the end its what your comfortable with...in my opinion they are the best out there when it comes to variety and options.

I LOVE lifetime fitness...I actually just got home from there. I went to the zumba class and then had lunch in the cafe with the kids and now home! Makes for a wonderful Saturday when daddy is playing golf!!! My kids are small (4, 2, and 1) and they love the child center, there's so much for them to do. I love the zumba, spin, and pilates classes, they are so much fun! My oldest has taken a sports sampler class there and it was perfect b/c the younger two could go to nursery and I could work out! Time well spent! I personally think it's worth every dime and we go every day and the kids look forward to it. We also treat ourselves to having lunch there one day a week so we all look forward to that and its all so conveinant!

I love, love, love Lifetime Fitness...it is my favorite place to go! I feel like I'm heading to a spa...except for all that sweating business! LOL. I have only done one type of class (I'm into endurance sports so the classes aren't really what I'm looking to train for)-spin and it was good. I use the pool, weight room and treadmills, and sauna, steam room and hot tub. I have also gotten spa treatments and I thought they were good as well. The child care is great, however I have a "delicate flower" little girl who's a mama's girl and very attached/clingy so I haven't used it in a while so as not to traumatize her. I have used the personal training and it is pricey as well, but the trainer I used was cool in that she gave me a program to do on my own after one session with her and then you check back like 6 wks later and she would update it, etc. Overall, it is expensive, but I feel its worth every penny!
