My son has gone to Kindercare (formerly Childrens Learning World) for the past 3 years and we love it there. I highly recommend it. the director has been there for over 20 years and much of the staff is longtime also!

Feel free to pass my name along as a referral, they know me and my son. H. Lueders (mama to Jack 5 yrs old).

OOPS, I forgot to say it is at Bode and Barrington Rds!!

St. Hubert Catholic School in Hoffman Estates has a wonderful preschool program. The teachers and assistants are wonderful and your child will be very well prepared for kindergarten. You can visit www.sthubert.org/school for info.

I highly recommend Creative Beginnings Preschool in Schaumburg. It is in the lower level of Church of the Holy Spirit, near Bode & Springinsguth. It is not church affiliated. Two ladies who used to be kindergarten/elementary school teachers rent out the space and have had a preschool there for about 15 years. My third child is currently in the program, and we've had 5 years experience with them so far. They are phenomenal, and care very much about each child. And, their care goes beyond the classroom. One of my children was seriously ill and they made dinner for us, brought pictures, cards and gifts, called frequently to check on us,etc. They are like family. They have a great website http://www.cbpreschool.com/ or contact me directly with any questions. This program is more expensive than some others, but a wonderful investment.

Depending on the age of your youngster, the Schaumburg schools have an early childhood program that starts kids at age 3 years. I work at Blackwell, which has 4 EC classrooms with classes twice at day, so 8 different classes. Other schools offer this program, which you must apply for at the District office 525 E Schaumburg Rd. I don't know anything about the other schools, but our school has a fantastic program! In fact one of our best teachers was just promoted to be the head of all the EC classes in the district. check out the web site at sd54.org, click on Information for Parents, then Instructional Programs, then Early Childhood.
