Hi S.,
If you are having your baby @ St Petersburg Hospital they will provide you with some Pediatricians because you need to have one before you can take the baby home. My son is 15 months old and I have been taking him to Jan Bender from sunshine Pediatrics, who is right across the street from St. Pete Hospital. I really like them they are very nice and helpful. For example, I was in a situation where I needed my son's shot records, so that I can put him in Day care and I didn't give them enough notice, but they still gave me the information I needed. They went out of their busy schedule to help me out. Do you health insurance for the baby? If not go to FloridaKids.com and you can apply for Medicaid for the first year it is free and after that you pay $20.00 a month.
I hope this helps you out.

I hope this helps you out.
I have been using Dr. Lynne Ellis and Dr. Lisa Petitfils since our daughter was a newborn, they are located @ 1111 7th Ave N right next door to St. Anthony's. They also have a Nurse Practitioner in their office too. Very nice staff! The number is ###-###-####. Best of luck!
We(my 18 month old, Cole) go to Nelson pediatrics on north MLK. I almost always see Dr. Weinbereger. She is great. The other doctors are also good. The only thing is that if you like one and want to see them for well visits, you need to be sure and specify when you call.
If you have a branch of Pediatric Healthcare Alliance try them. The one that I am using, Dr. Kulek-Luzky and Wood-White & Lane, are all in the same office and very good. I am not sure about the St. Pete area but if their group has offices over there, the Alliance, I would say check them out :) Good luck!
Hi S.,
Congratulations on your first child! My first baby just turned 1 and that first year flew by! Our pediatrician is Dr. Voltarel. He is part of the Pediatric Health Care Alliance. Dr. V's office is located at 13th Ave. & 66th St. N. He was so patient with all of my questions when I went to see him for the first time (when my son was 3 days old). All of their staff are great too. He has also been pretty flexible with my concerns of the vaccinations. We worked out an extended plan so that my son doesn't have to have more than 3 shots at any one visit. I was a little freaked out about this when he was such a little guy. The other great thing about this office is that they are part of a network of doctors that you can visit if you ever need to for Saturdays and evenings. Anytime I've called the after hours doctor they've been prompt in returning my call and helpful with their information. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions that I can help with.

If you haven't already talked to Dr. Pamela Patranella
(727- ###-###-####) give her a call. If you haven't already called, I'd sure like to recommend it...it's actually a pediatric group (corner 28th St. and 5th Ave N., in St. Petersburg). She's my daughter's PCP, but any of the doctors are great and we've seen them all! The "group" idea is really good, as if your child needs urgent care, there's very little wait to get them an appointment. My child has tried their patience, I know, but they've always been GREAT!
Hi S.!
We go to Dr. Bhumi in NE St. Pete. She is great!! She just started her own practice and is very personable and knowledgeable. Her website is: http://www.northeastkids.com/. Tell her C. Bruner sent you, best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Take good care
We go to the group with Patrinella (sp?). They are on 5th ave and like 28th ave - somewhere in there. They are a group of all women which I love. The office is big and they have a seperate waiting room for infants which we loved too. We never have to wait long and when you call for an emergency visit, they get you right in! We just started with one doctor and each time we went we would see a different one until we found the one we liked the best. Although Patrinella is awesome, she's so awesome that she can be hard to get to see. We see Dr. Cross and we love her. She has a little boy just like we do. In fact all the doctors in there (I think) are moms.
Check it out.
