I just recently moved to the Towne Lake area, from Virginia. I am looking for a play group or another toddler, around 2 years old for my son to play with. This has been a rough move for him, and it seems the only company he has had has been with his much much older Aunts and Uncles! I'd love to meet a few other moms as well!!

Welcome to Woodstock!!! Though my daughter is 13 years old now(born in GA), I too had moved from a different state years ago. Woodstock is a great area for your son to grow up in. There are a lot of groups in the area of what you are looking for. Try "MOMS", a stay at home group for moms with children under the age of school years. If you look in the local newspapers, you will find group meetings too. Also the churches are a good place to sign him up for Mother Morning out. I did that for my daughter so she and I could meet new people. Now we have friends for life!!! Have fun meeting new people!! Keep in touch!

Hi V.! You can also try the Woodstock Mom's Club. There is a North Chapter and South chapter. I'm the pres of the South chapter and I have a 2 year old as well.

In addition to playgroups, we have a monthly calendar with all sorts of events, park play dates, story time at the library, local farm visits, museums trips and a moms night out once a month. We have a monthly members meeting as well with guest speakers or a themes with craft projects for the kids.
Email me at ____@____.com if you are interested in joining. The yearly membership fee is only $20.

Hey V.,

Try the Woodstock Toddlers group. Its website is WoodstockToddlers.com. I literally stumbled onto them during a park visit. The co-leader, Jaime Franklin, ROCKS!!!!! Earthy, funny, kind, talented. I highly recommend these ladies.
