Hello everyone, I am new to the area and I'm looking for a new OBGYN. My first delivery was a C-section, and my second was a VBAC. It was such a wonderful experience, and I'd love to do it again. I am looking for a doctor who not only does them, but does them happily, and maybe even advocates for them (is that too much to ask these days?) And if all my dreams could come true, he/she would know about the induction technique using a balloon catheter (that's what my doctor used with my VBAC in Vegas, and it was the best thing ever.) ANY suggestions are helpful, so if you have a wonderful doctor in the Gilbert (or Mesa or Chandler) area, please let me know. THANK YOU!!

What can I do next?

I had my worst experience at Dr. Christine Brass-Jones' office. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment. Her office staff is not friendly and extremely unprofessional. They didn't bill my insurance ontime so I had to pay for my annual exam out of pocket. I could go on and on. I went there for 2 years and I will never set foot in that office again!

Dr. Christine Brass-Jones does VBAC. If you would like a midwife, Brittani Hamilton does VBAC, as do the Bethany midwives.

I would also really recommend registering on the Arizona Birth Network Yahoo! group - you can post questions about VBAC providers there. There are lots of VBAC providers out there, but I don't know all of them. You can also post questions there about the different hospitals' VBAC policies, etc.

We also have a great ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) here in the valley that meets monthly.

Blessings!!!

P.S. Additionally, the AZ Birth Network holds monthly meetings around the valley to discuss birth-related topics; they are tons of fun and are very informative:

I highly recommend Dr. Christine Brass-Jones. I had a C-section with my first (she was breech and it was scheduled), but had a VBAC with my second. I had a different Dr. with my first, but specifically switched to Dr. Brass for my second because I knew she supports VBACs.
