Jane's Academy of Dance Excellence. They are relatively small, so they pay attention and know each child, but Jane comes from a bigger dance studio, so she also has that experience.

A friend and I are looking to put our daughters into dance next fall (maybe try out a camp this summer). We are looking for something in South Arlington or Mansfield. We want a place that is high on technique and long on patience. Our daughters are 3 and 5 so they are beginners. Any recommendations for a place that is really good with beginners, but that will teach excellent technique? (I was a dancer for many years so I know how important the basics are.) Cost is somewhat of an issue, but we won't put our daughters in the cheapest place just because it's the cheapest. TIA!

Jane's Academy of Dance Excellence - it's across the street from the YMCA on Cooper (FM 157) in South Arlington. Their web site is www.jadedanceonline.com.
Well, it's in Midlothian, not Mansfield or Arlington, but my daughter goes to On the Move Dance. It's a relatively new studio but the teachers all seem to have a lot of experience, know what they are doing, and the girls love them. I don't know much about dance and this is my daughter's first year, but I know the company girls do very well at competitions. The website is otmdance.com if you want to check it out. There is a summer camp, I believe in July.
